The Old Vicarage

Lovely character building with large bedroom had everything you needed. Located right in the centre and free parking also good pool, hot tub.

We were on the bottom floor right between the laundry and kitchen so a bit noisy in the morning. To be fair the staff probably thought we were already out.

Really friendly, great breakfast, good location, good sized room.

Bathroom was a bit small and not so nice compared to the rest of the room.

Lovely clean room. In a nice location at the back of hotel. Nice jacuzzi and sauna with pool. Very nice eggs. Good choice of yogurts.

The Deco of the lounge room and breakfast area was dated. Plants look like they've not been watered for years. The breakfast bacon to salty. Sausage to small. Hash brown rock solid. Would have been nice to have the option of cut up fruit.

How we was made to feel welcome not only just at the beginning of our stay but throughout the whole stay ,our room very comfortable and in a perfect place,location very good ,parking available at all times ,with the added bonus of swimming pool, hot tub, and sauna ,exceptional breakfast, very friendly staff

Absolutely amazing place to spend 2 days holiday at Ambleside. Very close to the main market and pubs area. The view from the room was amazing and the room itself was so warm and cozy. The breakfast was superb and the highlight was the Owner who was so warm and helpful in our chek-in. He helped us with tips of exploring the place and planning our holiday. Great Stay.

We had stayed there before re 14 years ago. It did not disappoint. Very comfy relaxed place in ideal location. Very friendly staff ( they did washing for us at no cost) and wonderful breakfasts. They are happy for you to bring take away meals in and provide plates etc. lovely atmosphere in a historic setting.
