Stay was extremely nice and the staff was extremely helpful and professional. The room and bathroom were neat and free from any issues. The most impressive thing was the staff and management was keen and immediate to resolve any concerns I had .

BEWARE. These guys are a joke and embarassment to hospitality. The moment i got there, I wanted to leave Kashmir asap. First they will ask u to pay advance even before coming here and settle full amount upon check in! I understood why the hard way. The room i got had the shittiest dirtiest view possible, nothing like in the pictures. It was also attached with their room next door, and the moment u get in, they will tell u the rules: no slippers in the room and no alcohol. The welcome was cold and the vibes were like i was a female student staying in a hostel with a strict overbearing family nxt to my room. Despite me coming from so far away they did nothing to make me feel comfortable but instead tried to push the touristic shikari and taxi services to me. If ur paying for the cheaper room, they will do their best to extort more money from you during your stay - from charging rs50 for a water bottle, Rs100 for bread&tea, and rs300/night for a room heater..to arranging an airport pickup for rs1200. And beware most of the time, they will not tell u the costs upfront but after providing the services. There is no wifi in the cheaper room, although the old man will try to fool you with some excuses about why he can't give u the password right now and to use his hotspot. I only learnt the next day that wifi is in the bigger boathouse thats more expensive, and i had to go there to get Internet access. If u dont have a kashmir SIM yet this will be very inconvenient. They also have a menu with ridiculous prices for basic items like rs280 for a few cucumbers and tomatoes. They offered me food after a long flight, in the most homely nicest way, (convincing me its too late to eat outside across the river from them) and offered to make me egg, but when i sat down for dinner it was just rice and dal and those cucumbers & tomatoes.

The host & his daughter are really kind & sweet. The rooms were clean, spacious and decor was good too. Their in house food tasted top notch, highly recommend this place for you stay.

I think there couldn't be a better place to stay than this. My family and I didn't feel that we were out somewhere. The décor, the cleanliness, the treats, the space, everything was perfect. If we get a chance again, we will again and always choose FAVELA

Rooms were neat and clean. The view of the Dal lake was spectacular. Worth the money.

The food was very delicious. The ambiance of houseboat was beautifully calm, room was clean & cozy that too at an very affordable price. AMAZING EXPERIENCE

I stayed at this property for one day and it’s really a beautiful place to stay. The place is near to Dal Lake and you can have the experience of a house boat. This property is very clean and newly built which has attached bathroom and washroom . I would definitely recommend to stay at this property.

My stay at Favela Houseboat in Srinagar was truly delightful. The host and their family were incredibly warm and caring. They made me feel right at home. The food was delicious and homely. The ambiance of houseboat was both beautiful and relaxing. With neat and cozy room at an affordable price, it’s perfectly situated in the heart of the city. Highly recommended and worth for the price!
