Beautifully decorated. Will definitely book again.

Chairs in kitchen uncomfortable and wet dog smell in living room. Plug in air fresh would of been useful. Need a full length mirror.

Spotlessly clean. Excellent location. Nice sun trap in the back. Very tastefully decorated. Parking permit provided much appreciated. Two bathrooms were great for 4 adults. Masses of storage space in kitchen and utility. Great sized fridge and freezer. Salt, pepper, oil spray, foil, cling film, dishwasher tabs, fairy liquid and washing powder all provided.

Only one minor thing to mention - dining chairs really do need to be more substantial - not comfortable for sitting on for any length of time.

Nothing, however, a little welcome package may have been nice with some bread, local produce and a cheeky bottle of wine may have been nice, or have we been spoiled in the past places we’ve stayed 😁

We had a pleasant 3-night stay. We particularly liked the location of the property - it is within walking distance to many restaurants / shops and the Windermere lake. It is also great that they offered parking (200m away) and the permit allowed us to park in a few other places for free which were great. The bedrooms were good sizes and the beds were comfortable. There were good hanging spaces for clothes. Evenings were quiet so we had good sleeps. We liked the kitchen too which was well equipped, including dishwasher tablets. It was also handy that there were wash machines albeit no washing liquids provided. There is a small garden with a table and chairs, but we didn’t use it.

The toilet seat in the main bathroom doesn’t seem to be aligned with the seat… it feels uncomfortable / unstable sitting on it. The sink in the en suite bathroom is tiny…so water can easily fall outside - we had to wipe the floor multiple times.

Property is immaculate, great facilities, excellent location. Parking permit nice extra. 2 couples and small dog stayed for 3 nights, had everything we needed and more. Everything is on the doorstep, few minutes walk down to the lakeside. Highly recommend.

Loved everything about the cottage only little niggle would be the pillows, the were extremely flat, felt like lying on a pillow case with no pillow inside, but this is a personal preference thing I suppose.

The property is in excellent condition.

We loved the property and had a comfortable stay. We all felt the property had great decor and was clean and tidy with all amenities. We enjoyed the outside space at the back with the table and chairs being a nice place to relax. Overall a lovely property that we all enjoyed.

Within the first hour of arriving at the property we encountered screaming and shouting with abusive language being used from the buildings directly opposite. Very loud drum and bass music being played well into the night (2.30am) which did keep us awake and spoiled a good nights sleep. Police were called by residents I’m guessing to help address the issues. Although we felt this was not the fault of the owners of Sheila’s cottage, this did disrupt our stay.

The cottage is lovely and only a short walk to the shops, bars & restaurants. It’s a large cottage, it was immaculately clean and had a nice outdoor area too. It’s decorated tastefully and really modern too.
