Orchard House Lodges by Ecohuman

The location was the best feature of this accommodation- away from the hustle and bustle of tourist attractions, busy roads and noise. We appreciated being able to look out at green fields, cattle and nature.

The accommodation was very cramped with nowhere to place our luggage. More space could be achieved if the wardrobe was removed (it is redundant anyway as the door can't be opened due to a table and chair located in front of it) and the TV being wall mounted instead of being placed on a chest of drawers which are also not needed. The room was unbearably hot, despite opening the window and using the very small fan provided, due to the central heating being turned on remotely by the owners, with no means of guests being able to turn it off. Why it was deemed necessary to turn on the heating in summer on 20+ degree days is a mystery. The toilet was also very difficult to flush and the cistern handle was broken and kept falling off.

Location tranquilla e immersa nel verde, a cinque minuti dalla deliziosa Haddington, dove si possono prendere bus diretti per Edimburgo. Proprietaria gentilissima e sempre disponibile, cottage piccoli ma con tutto il necessario.

Tout était parfait ! L'emplacement est au top, nous sommes a moins de 30min de beaucoup de points d'intérêts comme Édimbourg, bord de mer.. Le logement au top, le réveil auprès des vaches écossaises est vraiment super, la literie est vraiment qualitative. L'hôte est SUPER, nous avons eu un problème avec notre véhicule de location, elle a fait tout son possible pour nous aider car nous ne parlons pas super bien la langue.. Un très beau voyage et souvenirs dans ce lieu que je conseille sans hésiter

The surroundings were stunning , and the cows well they were stunning , but gutted they were never in the field right outside our lodge but honestly they were beautiful - the bed was probably the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in in a hotel ! The shower was also brilliant .

There was a huge damp stain on the carpet , it may have been from just the previous guests but it was pretty unsightly , the walls also so thin could hear next door talking which is what it is but worth mentioning .

A comfortable little self-catering chalet, ideal for a couple of nights near Edinburgh.
