"Cozy place with very spacious terrace."

9.0

We had a really enjoyable stay. We travelled with our toddler of almost 2. I was really surprised how well this location in the end suited our situation. For example this property has this smaller 2nd room where we could place the cot and allowed our toddler to sleep in peace without being disturbed by us using the kitchen. The best feature was the huge terrace. We used it basically as a playground for our toddler from which he couldn't escape and was pretty safe. We only had to watch out that he is not climbing up the metal stairs to the apartment. In the evening the terrace was simply lovely to enjoy a glass of wine and read a book. Kitchen allowed for comfortable cooking including huge fridge/ freezer and a microwave which came in handy with the toddler. I love the location as well, across from a school and really close to this square where you could find 2 cafe's and a bakery. Overall this area had a super relaxed and friendly vibe. I would recommend this place.

If we have to pick it apart i would say: showering leads mostly to a fairly wet bathroom/ toilet. We had to watch out that we or our toddler won't slip on the tiles due to the water. The risk can be handled though.

Quaint little flat in an excellent location

Getting the suitcase up the 28 steps to the flat was a drag but a small price to pay for a piece of heaven

"We would definitely recommend this place to anyone going to Genoa."

10.0

We've stayed in the Stone for 3 nights. It is a really nice and cozy apartment, perfect for two or small family with one child. Beautiful renovation is done recently to keep the atmosphere of historical building ensuring all the modern comforts. Location is perfect, close to everything but absolutely quiet during night time, we have enjoyed the private terrace very much. Many many thanks to our super nice and helpful host Sara, who made us feel welcomed during the whole stay and even before the arrival! We will definitely come back to continue our acquaintance with amazing Genoa :-)

Nothing, everything was just great.

"A great place to stay for a city break"

9.0

A very helpful and friendly host who couldn't do enough for us. Lovely apartment for a short stay and the terrace was a bonus to be able to sit outside in peace in the evenings. Fabulous location close to the old port and in short walking distance of great restaurants and sightseeing areas. Highly recommended.

"Exceptional"

10.0

Great location in a residential area of the old city. Ssra is an exceptionally helpful host with great communication before and during our stay. Enjoyed the outdoor space as much as the indoor space. Close to the many interesting sights, of Genova. Reasonable walking distance to train station. Thank you Giuseppina for meeting us and helping with the last little bit of our journey to the apartment.

It's a lovely old building which naturally presents some challenges. We found that the kitchen area was a little dark.

"Great Apartment in Genoa"

10.0

The apartment was lovely, the perfect size for a couple. Unfortunately, Sara wasn't there to greet us, but she ensured someone was waiting for us on arrival. The terrace is a great addition and gets the sun for most of the morning and early afternoon. It is handy for many restaurants and shops in the local area. Sara checked in with us on most days so we could ask her anything whilst we were there. We are planning on a return holiday next year, and hopefully will be able to book The Stone.

"This was a beautiful apartment with a wonderful host, which made our trip to Genoa really special."

10.0

This property was beautiful - I hadn’t realised until we got there that the apartment is built in an old renovated chapel, a piece of history which made our stay so much more interesting! The stone walls meant the apartment stayed cool even on the hot days, and the patio was perfect for meals, drinks and sunbathing. We were unlucky with some bad weather at the start of our trip, but were lucky in that we loved the apartment so much we were completely comfortable spending time inside. We loved the little kitchen and had a go at preparing some Italian food. The shower has plenty of room, and the bed was comfy. Overall the apartment has a very cosy, homey feel. The true star of this property was our host, Sara. I’ve never stayed somewhere and felt so looked after - Sara was such a huge help with travel and sightseeing ideas, restaurant recommendations and general good company. She even lent us one of her own chargers when we both (foolishly) forgot to bring a plug adapter. Sara, you made our stay wonderful and we will definitely be returning when we’re able!

I genuinely don’t have a bad word to say about this property - the wifi connection was slightly spotty at times but when the weather was good this wasn’t an issue as we were out and about seeing beautiful Genova anyway!
