ARA Beach Resort Mirissa

Imagine listening to/watching the sound of the waves crashing on to the shore from your bed. That was my experience at this hotel. Absolutely fantastic. Then you have the wonderful staff and gorgeous room to add to that. Breakfast is good and you can walk straight out to the beach from the hotel. The hotel is technically just outside Mirissa but still very close to the action. Staff are really obliging and the food is amazing.

The lock for my room was broken so I had to slam the door quite hard to get it to work. The water pressure for the shower wasn’t as strong as I’d have liked.

It was clean , quiet , perfectly situated on the beach . 10/10

Beautiful place with the friendliest stuff you can imagine. Especially recommended for those traveling with kids.

Everything. Good location. Clean and comfortable rooms, genuine smiling service, and above all efficient and caring Shadisna who supervised everything from front office to housekeeping and dining to ensure guest satisfaction. What a gem !

The placement of the generators need better sound proofing

Great staff.very accommodating.the pool was always empty, when we went to swim it felt great.from our balcony we saw exotic birds everyday.peacocks,female and male,reside nearby.breathtakingly beautiful.from this beach we took walks to the other beaches,very empty and peaceful always. We really enjoyed our stay. If there is something you need,ask the personnel,they speak English well. Hot water,great pressure in the shower.the hotel has no food in the room policy,but we kindly asked and ate the food we bought in the room.

The people were very friendly and the room was nice and clean and very nice sea view.

This is not a Resort, it is a very small hotel which is situated away from the main beaches. There is no beach in front of the hotel, there are rocks. The breakfast was poor and was full of flies. The room amenities are refilled and have in-house printed label, it would be better to put large wall dispensers for the shower. The common areas of the hotel, dining area, and small lounge, need a bit of decoration. This could be a nice hotel

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with plenty of options for vegetarians. They even went out of the way and allowed people to get late breakfast. Location is nice. There is a wonderful restaurant just next door where we went for dinner twice. Markets are nearby and mirissa beach is 5 minutes by tuk tuk. Pool was good and Clean.

Bathrooms are tiny. Some basics are lacking like no blankets in rooms. No dental kit and such provided. If your daily provided 2 towels got wet it would be a real struggle to convince them to replace them.

No restaurant on the territory. Always needs to go out to search for the food

The staff were outstanding, especially the main lady at reception. I think her name was Shirisna (can’t recall though). Nothing was too much trouble. They were attentive, friendly, accommodating and booked the necessary trips requested. The breakfast was amazing too, super filling and delicious. View from room is dreamy and location is perfect, just a few steps from everything and the pool is a nice touch to the facilities offered.
