Medieval Cottage in rural Monmouthshire.

Stunning medieval cottage in a really tranquil location. Set surrounded by beautiful garden and fields. So many lovely old features inside that just added to the effect.

The road up to the cottage is a bit dicey if you meet anything coming the other way you need to back up, but that is to be expected in that location. Washing up liquid would be useful, but soon obtainable from Raglan, so no issue..

Loved the history of the cottage. Loved the location and Alan was so welcoming and helpful. We took our dogs with us and they loved it. Bedrooms were super cosy and comfy. Perfect relaxing getaway. Coming back in a couple of months.

Nothing to dislike!

Really lovely cottage with lots of charm in a fantastic garden in a rural location. The beds are incredibly comfortable and it has everything you need. Great communication with hosts and they were there to answer questions but otherwise gave us complete privacy. Couldn't be happier, would love to come back.

Beautiful very old house

Our host created us on arrival and explained the quirkiness of the medieval cottage before leaving us to ourselves, everything was as he said and we settled in, the cottage is rustic with original oak beams and is pleasantly isolated, but this does mean that you'll need tea, coffee, food and wine for at least the first evening and breakfast if you're not eating out, the kitchen is well equipped and the lounge is spacious with a large sofa, the only thing you need to be aware of is the stairs aren't suitable for toddlers or anyone with mobility problems, that said, we had a lovely stay. PS. The WiFi is good for most needs but gaming might be an issue, and take a hairdryer if you use one. PPS. Many thanks for helping me with my car's flat battery.

No washing up liquid or hairdryer

Great location. Really different, proper old cottage, which had been renovated well. Really warm, cosy and comfortable.

Although we were glad it was warm and draft free, it would have been great to have been able to open some windows.

I've been all over the world, but you can't beat Wales. The location was gorgeous. Fabulous cottage. Owner Alan was friendly and helpful. Definitely going back this year.
