- It's not a calm place. The pool belongs to 8 houses each with a few rooms, so every day it is full of children screaming loud from the morning till the dusk. - Strange rules of this place and deposit needed before which makes problem. - AC blows straight to the bed so very unconformable to use when sleeping. - The bathroom is in the common part of the house.

Location, cleanliness

Mattress a little too hard. Not much dinnerware like glasses, wine glass or plates, fork, knife.

That I only got suckered in to staying for 2 nights. Everything sucked at this sad accommodation and the clowns running it.

There was no breakfast available, even though it stated it was an option if I wanted. In fact, the kitchen was blocked off and could not be entered or used at all. It was the weirdest set up of accommodation I’ve ever seen. They had a toaster, a coffee maker, and a teapot. Nowhere to use them or plug them in and no utensils whatsoever or tea or coffee or silverware or plates or dishes or even cups, not even glassware for a drink of water if you happened to bring your own water. The towels and sheets and pillow covers were thread bare, the curtain rods in the living room area were both broken and if you touched the curtains to open or close them, it would come tumbling down on top of you . The picture of the dead cockroach that we murdered was humungous and reflected what a cockroach of a place it was. The photos had nothing to do with reality. There was some weird guy that met us there that told us we were lucky that he happened to be there to let us in, otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to get in . It was so weird it was really unbelievable. These folks are complete and total slumlords and do not give a damn about their guests at all. It’s in a weird community where you’ve got to go through some security checkpoint in and out of the place and they’re unpleasant as well. These clowns should not be hospitality operators at all. I’ve travelled around the globe, and this really was the poorest effort at hosting I’ve ever experienced. This guy told me they had eight of these properties in this community. God help seven other poor victims of their nonsense. He also made me give him a credit card for $4000 pesos that he charged as a security deposit and I imagine I’m gonna get screwed out of that based on this review. Then the weirdest thing was that this guy told me that number three bedroom may be occupied if someone books it, and may enter the premises in the next day or two. You folks got to know that this is not acceptable. Really ruined the trip.

Not much other than close to a pool.

The booking process was a mystery. No instructions on how to access the place. No identifying house number of the place. Soiled chair cushions, soiled and thread bare towels, sheets and pillow cases. Closed off kitchen, no silverware, utensils, plates, bowls, cups or glasses. A toaster without anything to use with it. A tea kettle without any cups or water. A coffee maker with no cups or coffee or water. Cockroaches as big as they get. This was a disaster from the very start and it only got worse. Some arrogant agent happened to be at the property and told us how lucky we were that he was there or we wouldn’t be able to get access. Then he makes me pay him $4,000 deposit and tells me he decides how much will be returned in case we stole a big screen TV or furniture or something. Weird guy all around.

Playa del Carmen was great. Very few people this time of the year (Oct) and the weather is great.

The property is not as advertised. I wished I’d chosen a different hotel.

We really enjoyed the pool, even though it was a bit warm. The check-in process was easy and shops are only a 5-10 walk in a very nice neighbourhood.

There was no bin inside our room, which meant we had to go outside and use the bin on the E6 patio. I would strongly recommend investing in simple kitchen accessories such as a chopping board and knives, to make a sandwich. The pressure on the shower wasn’t constant, which could be easily fixed.
