Taj Luxury Suite

We enjoyed our room so much. Waking up to a beautiful fresh morning with a view down St Georges Mall and the Newspaper House was amazing. The heated pool swim was an unforgettable experience and the room service was out of this world. That bed has got to be the most comfortable night's sleep I have ever had! Will definitely be back.

Loved everything. I cannot think of one thing I would be able to complain about. Check in was a bit delayed because we were a last minute booking but the staff were exceptional at handling it and sorting everything out.

The hotel is amazing. But this is an owned apartment and the owner is useless.

So. I thought I was booking direct with the hotel, it is not clear from the listing that this is not the case. The listing is from an owner of a suite in the hotel. Despite me booking in November for a stay on the 9march and paying two weeks prior the owner failed to inform the hotel that we were coming until 1430 on the day. Check in was from 1400. We arrived at 1500 to find the hotel working very hard to clean the room. This was not completed until 1630. We had to leave that evening at 1730, so missed a relaxing afternoon in the hotel. Then for breakfast we found that it was not included by the hotel in the owners rate. He had not paid, so we had to argue about breakfast. At all time the hotel were great, the owner does this repeatedly with this hotel and stopped responding to me when I raised the problem of the room not being ready.

Great environment, clean, attentive staff, good food

When we checked in we were told that we booked an owners apartment therefore we were not eligible for breakfast. When we booked, the reason we were attracted to the apartment was that it was being marketed as an apartment under the Taj, it was not marketed as an owners apartment therefore we did not expect to be treated differently from other guests. Some of the furniture in the apartment was damaged and required repairs, I.e., the armchair was torn and the coffee table glass was moving out of place which took some of the "luxury" out of our experience. The booking link should be clear on the issue of the apartment being an owners apartment and what that entails to avoid guests being misled.
