Excellent apartment.. perfectly placed

Shower could be updated, and sofa covers were a bit of a pain

Situated in a the heart of Siracusa and Ortigia. Everything is close by for bars/cafe’s shops and restaurant as well as the sea and you can easy book excursions. Beautiful views from the balcony. Theres also a park for children to play opposite to the right of the property. We seemed to always get a space for parking. Afternoons between 2-5pm was best time for spaces. Theres a local Co-op on the corner of the opposite building which has beautiful fresh delicatesent which we got fresh bread, ham, cheese salami , olives, peppers ect - must try ! Very cheap too. We had granita and brioche (Sicilian favourite) from the nearby park too. Aranchini we bought from in Ortigia bars were the best. The beach’s to go to is Aranella, Fontane Bianche and Costa Del Sol. All within 15minutes car journey. Excellent communication (WhatsApp) with the owner who is happy to recommend places to eat and visit. The views from the wrap around terrance is fantastic which gets sun all day so you can see the sunrise and sunset. It can get Ash on the balcony but we just swept it each day and kept it clean. There’s great washing line and do all your washing which dries within an hour out there… place to lay and sunbathe, listen to music, eat out on the balcony. Really is a beautiful place to stay. We preferred this over a villa with pool as things are so convenient being nearby.

The shower and water pressure was low but the owner had new shower fitted whilst we were there so after it was great. Putting this down so people know as some comments previously about shower but it’s all fixed now.

Location and view were incredible. Close to Ortigia, but also close from other visit spots in Siracusa, where everything can be done by foot, leaving the car down the block.

Bed could be a little bit more comfy, and water pressure could be improved.

Very well situated, in walking distance from both Ortigia and the archaeological area. Great views from the balcony. Street parking was easy - once we got a park directly opposite, another time we found a park a short distance away. Air-conditioning worked well and was most welcome in July. The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable with plenty of good bars and restaurants nearby.

No real complaints. The main shower head was broken - someone was supposed to come and fix it but no-one did - but the hand-held spray sufficed. We were two couples so a spare set of keys would have been very convenient, but the key is used to turn on the electricity so the owner will not issue a second set. Some more generous supplies of consumables - toilet paper, laundry liquid, paper towels etc - would have been welcome. But we would happily stay here again.

Wrap-around terrace gave 180 degree views of the old town and the sea. 10 minutes walk to everything. Very spacious apartment. Two living rooms.

No shower soap or wine glasses.

The hosts were very helpful and welcoming one thing that would have made the stay easier would have been to have had a second set of keys to access the unit

One air conditioning units in the lounge dinning needed a service as it didn’t function

No oven

The location is perfect. Ortigia island, the bus & train stops are 10 mins walk. Syracuse archeological park is very close - 20 mins walk. Luggage storage & supermarket are 3 mins away. The apartment is big (near a small park for walks or rest), has a brilliant 270 degree terrace with great views and sun all day long. The hostess was always helpful and available for questions.

The shower space is quite narrow and uncomfortable. The host can replace some of the silverware, it's pretty old. You get one set of keys which need to be in the apartment to have electricity which makes it quite inconvenient if you're several people (perhaps the host can offer more sets of keys).

What a fantastic penthouse apartment - the wrap around balcony with sea views was an unexpected bonus. The rooms are big, clean and well decorated. Location is great for walking to all the sights. Couldn’t have asked for more - and the host was really helpful and attentive.

There was nothing to dislike - fab !
