The place was awesome at the heart of Kathmandu!

The owner was very sweet. The staff were humble. The room was very clean with comfortable bed and refreshing garden with a cute dog.

I like place and the nature of this Guest house. Hot water avilable and good terrace here and shanti. Rision is very cute guy and helpfull.

Actually it's not problem for me but ı want to share it because it's not a fair. When I arrived, the cheap room I rented was not available for some reason and I had to pay extra for a more expensive room. Even though I didn't think it was my problem, I didn't think it was fair that it was being passed on to me.

Cozy and quite place

Sunrise Cottage is a small family-run guesthouse right in the heart of Thamel. It is in a small side alley and therefore relatively quiet. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful. It almost feels like a home stay.

Thamel itself is of course quite noisy, busy, and touristy. (But so is most of Kathmandu these days.)

It was a good location to reach all areas of Thamel.

I didn't enjoy my stay here unfortunately.Check in from 12 yet room not ready until 4. The rooms were not as described , garden view room had bars on the windows and rubbish bin and walls outside, very dark and dingy and smaller than photos and description on the app. Upgrade offered and they tried to charge more than I would pay for any room they offered on the app. I queried this I was then still 'upgraded' but to a different room than discussed which was only fractionally bigger than the original and had a lot of mildew. The lady was outwardly friendly but the energy I got from her was different. I don't like dishonesty and it all felt very dishonest. Sorry to say I wouldn't recommend.

The location was perfect. The room was not like same shown in the picture, is seems like the room was used after a long while, I was feel some bad smell, wash room was cleaned but there was no lock, the couch was not useable. Overall, that was one of the bad selection in my life. The owner took the USD rate round 140 without checking the day rate. I do not recommend anyone to stay there.
