Check in instructions were clearly explained by email and were simple to follow. Great breakfast each morning, balcony even has a view to the sea. My lovely room was clean and even had aircon too. Two bathrooms for only 4 bedrooms meant I never had to wait to use the bathroom either. Location is also great, an easy walk to / from the airport, and into Ponta Delgada too with a lovely Botanical Garden to walk through en-route to the centre, absolutely loved my garden walk each day. If I ever revisit Sao Miguel island I'd have no hesitations in staying here again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The only thing missing was tea bags at breakfast as only coffee was available, luckily I'd brought my own though so got by. Balcony did have signs of wear but really, for the price I paid it was a nice bonus to even have one at all so it's not a negative.

It was a good option for us to sleep a few hours and get a shower as we had very limited time there. Great value for money. The bed was okay, and given the fact, that this is a hostel, the bathroom was also acceptable. It was really comfortable for us, that the host gave us the code to the door and left our room open to be able to check in after midnight. The location is great, you can even reach it from the airport on foot (just 3 km-s on the sidewalks)

The bathroom was slightly dingy, and we could hear anything from the neighbouring rooms, as the walls were really thin. The lack of proper bed linen was also uncomfortable. (Just a sheet placed under the duvet, instead of a normal bed linen, covering the whole duvet.)

Tasty breakfast, very helpful owners (fixed a/c). Good location next to the biggest mall and not to far from the airport. Clean, nicely decorated rooms. Shared kitchen to cook.

Would be great if they could tell me that they will send me the check in instructions only at 14:00 of the day of check-in. And it was a bit stressful experience when I didn't get any response asking about my check in a day before. I didn't really know should I look for another place or they will respond, I also didn't know if I'll have Internet when they send them. So, communication could be a bit better. They did respond fast after the check in though.

Easy access, feeling cozy, well equipped kitchen, cute breakfast (but simple).

To fix: should have a little better communication, little bit smelly towels.

Price/quality rate

The host was very responsive and helpful. The room was small yet cosy. The place was very clean, and the breakfast would always be filling. Walking from/to the airport would take no more than 45 minutes (including the stops for the sake of checking if you're not going the wrong way). Also, I arrived earlier than 14:00 and was let in my room still - still grateful for that!

The cars and motorbikes passing by the place late at night, especially Fri-Sat. Light sleepers may not be content.
