Location

Car park always full and awkward . Room and shower were very small . Noisy room due to thin walls . Ordering breakfast the night before, when it arrived it wasn’t what we had ordered.

The room was clean. Pub food was good

Small, dark room. We had twin beds as requested. However, the only way to get into one bed was by climbing on the bottom of the bed and crawling up to the top. Bed was squeezed very tightly into too small a space. Building work carrying on next door outside the window. Constant, loud, electrical noise in the room, in the background .

The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely, good quality ingredients. Very friendly, helpful staff. The bar and restaurant had a cozy atmosphere. Easy parking on site.

The breakfast was excellent, all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good with plenty of choice .

The location was very handy for an event we had in the area… plus the pizzas were very good.

A couple of things: 1. In our room the shower was not private. It’s not very clear in the pictures but the shower is in the bedroom. 2. They seem to have a strange system where you need to go into the bar to order what you want for breakfast for the next day (if it’s included in your booking). We did this on the first night, while settling our dinner bill, but the chef still didn’t have all the ingredients the next day. We weren’t aware that this was something we’d need to do to make sure we could have breakfast the next day so when we turned up there was nothing prepared for us. I have no complaints against the morning staff for accommodating us as best as they could… but poor management. 3. While we were at an event we got a call asking us to come back and change rooms so they could accommodate a new guest. This was ultimately not needed but put unexpected stress on us.

Breakfast relies on which person turns up to open up. Menu ok but a bit strange having to order night before. Second morning the person opening up the building didn’t know where the porridge was (it’s a dietary requirement as can’t eat other foods from what is offered)

Noise level high from adjacent ‘motel’ rooms and late access by metal clunky stairs outside. Second night just going to bed about 10pm and receptionist called asking if we could swap rooms due to a booking error for someone with mobility issues - the answer was NO! (As registered disabled and on Motability this really did go beyond the pale - we felt guilty saying no as there was much chum wrong outside from whoever had arrived late ) This episode really did affect our overall stay

Breakfast was lovely and cooked well

Bedrooms all have showers in the room with no privacy , if you arrive late the bar closes early and no options for any drinks so at 10pm we had to go back out to tesco and get a drink! Staff just wanted to go home 24/7. Both evenings Our room well, wasn't that clean and quite hot/muggy -heating on all the time with a cold shower non adjastable to make hotter..
