The Bell

We were made to feel very welcome, and the chef was outstanding (He even made an extra sausage for our little sausage dog puppy for breakfast this morning)

The room above us on Saturday night had a very restless dog that trotted around all night and kept us awake, but Sunday night was much better as the lady and dog had left ( she offered no apology when she left either!)

The staff were welcoming and the food served both in the evening and at breakfast was delicious.

The bedroom was a little cold but staff were actively trying to improve this by providing portable heaters.

Breakfast and location were good except for the building site behind our room (not the Bells fault)

Room was tiny, way too hot even with window open, heating pipes for whole block ran through our room, permanently on. Some sort of pump started at 0600 in the morning and didnt stop..... loud and annoying.

Breakfast was very good and staff friendly

The room was very compact and nowhere to put anything. I would say avoid the twin room no 1 and it is right next to the boiler and services (extremely noisy) which wakes you up at 6.30 am and shuts down completely at 10. 45pm. Manager says and leaflet in room says it goes off at 10.00 pm but it did not. The manager said we could move but the offer was the room above.

Staff were welcoming, clean comfortable rooms with tea/coffee available. Easy parking on site. Lovely pub in rural location.
