Lovely setting, very clean and parking was available. Clear communication prior to booking with regards to checking in. There was a housekeeper there in the morning who made a pot of coffee for us.

No one on reception the whole weekend (2 night stay). The stairs were covered in plastic and we were not made aware some kind of work/maintenance was taking place. No breakfast was available (as advised in booking but could see previous reviews with breakfast). We did try to call and email the owner on a couple of occasions on the mobile number that was provided, but did not get a reply. At one point on one of the mornings someone opened our door and came in the room whilst we were in bed! We think perhaps a guest by accident?!Finally, the noise was awful. The main door continually slammed and was so loud! It was also very noisy when people were on the landing and slamming doors. Whilst this isn’t the owners fault, they could perhaps have some signs up reminding guests and workmen to be a little more respectful.

Considering that the breakfast was complimentary, it was excellent. Cereals, bread/toast, yoghurts and fresh fruit, preserves. Coffee/ tea and fresh fruit juice. You have a beautiful property, and well presented with tasteful furniture and accessories. Liked the solid wood Gazebo outside with the fairy lights aswell.

Having stayed in hotels up and down the country over the last year this one still comes out on top every single time. This is potentially my 12th stay here and the service is consistently 10/10. Lawrence and the entire team are always caring, welcoming and genuinely happy to help with anything you need. This stay was made even more memorable when I was kindly upgraded to a balcony room honestly one of the best hotel rooms I’ve ever stayed in. The attention to detail, comfort and overall experience were exceptional. A true 5-star experience every single visit.

Location absolutely stunning but does need a car, so may not suit everyone
