Riverwood Resort on the Gunnison

Nice motel on the River Room was clean, but nring your own bar of soap, the one left for you is "silver dollar" size at the best. No one at the desk, ever, you get a code emailed to you to get into your room lock. If a problem...call the ph # and they will answer. Didn't have any problems for the 2 nights. Look for a key hanging inside the door, it's gor the back door if you need it. No complaints, Gabezo along the river was nice.

The facility looks to have been recently upgraded and was very clean and homey. There is a small TV for late night viewing, Roku, I believe. Breakfast was not offered; however, coffee and tea were available and, in the rooms, a microwave and fridge. We loved the river flowing along the back of the property and enjoyed eating on the picnic table and gazebo close by. The fenced/closed in area in the back of the rooms are a nice touch for guest with animals. All in all, I'd give

Next time, (yes, I hope to be back) I'll get a room that doesn't have a closed in patio since it is difficult to sit and enjoy the river looking through the fence. There is somewhat of a walking trail along the river that would be really awesome if someone would maintain it, a lot of overgrowth.

This is a lovely place to stay. The room was cute and comfortable with an outdoor patio, as well. The host was personable and helpful. Our room was quiet and we liked it so much we stayed for an extra night. Highly recommended.

Beautiful propriety by the river. Clean rooms. Pet friendly. Every room has a little outdoor enclosed private space.

Being right on the river was incredible. Our room had a through door to a small patio that overlooked the river. As I sat on a rock watching the sun rise, the sprinklers went off. It was a funny ‘ugh’ moment. I went back to my patio, and within minutes a gentleman came by and apologized profusely for the sprinklers. He said he turned them off so I could go back to the rock. Super sweet.

The property was clean and quiet, with no deferred maintenance. The bed was super comfortable, and the towels were very nice. The remodel was pretty good except for one item. I was glad to stay there.
