The Steam Packet

Breakfast was really tasty and staff were very helpful!

The Steam Packet is a lovely place to stay. Our room was immaculate and very comfortable with excellent facilities, especially a very comfortable bed! Our room also had a beautiful view over the river Arun, and was a stones throw from two beaches and the centre of town. Breakfast was excellent too. Mark and his partner run a very tight ship and were very kind and helpful.

very good, including strawberries and a few grapes to finish off. The view over the river, watching the water rise and fall with the tide. The short walk into town for an evening meal.

The kitchen utensils were a bit flimsey, did the job but only just. Not enough lids to cover the saucepans, not energy effiecent, diificult to keep things warm.

Very convenient location, close to Railway Station and town, riverside walks and beach. Room was very well equipped with a small kitchen area in a light and quiet large room. Breakfast excellent, tailored to our requests.

More comfortable chairs for sitting in the room to read or watch TV.

The view from my bedroom was beautiful . The facilities were alright . There was a fridge in the room which is great .

The breakfast portion was very small . It could be better .

This is our 3rd stay at this wonderful bed and breakfast. We instantly feel rested and sleep so well in the comfortable beds. The steam packet is spotlessly clean. Everything is perfect. The room is so well equipped including a kitchen area, and sitting area with an awesome view of the estuary and river. The sea air and the breakfast make it a wonderful place to visit. We chose to have a full English breakfast and it was delicious. Mark and Arleta work tirelessly to keep everything perfect. Thank you so much. Can’t wait to come back x

Hosts were very nice and accommodating. Food was fresh and tasty. Location was perfect for the activity that I was undertaking for the week. Room was comfortable, quiet and clean and it was very helpful having my own cooking facilities.

Wi-fi was a bit temperamental but it still worked.
