I came to Sanda from Lovina, crossing winding mountain roads in the rain. Despite reading many reviews before booking, and being inspired by one in particular to stay for three nights, I still felt a bit uncertain during the journey. But the moment I arrived, those worries faded. Here, I felt once again the purest form of human trust. Even without speaking the same language, deep connection was possible—through a gesture, a glance, a shared smile. The atmosphere is incredibly calming, and the food gave me real energy, not just physically but emotionally. To be honest, I find it hard to put this experience fully into words. Sanda feels different from anywhere else in Bali. This is not a place for passive tourism—it gently asks something of you too. If you're looking for a space to be still, to read, to think, to meditate, or to unplug from social media and constant feedback, this is a rare and beautiful choice. I spent three days here reading and reflecting, allowing my life to pause. My conversations with Harry gave me a deeper understanding of plants—their fruits, their rhythms, their stories. December is durian season, and I know I will return. Time spent here feels like a gift. I hope you give yourself one too.

We had a great stay in this impressive place in the jungle. Yuni and her family are very welcoming and helpful, the food is great and the garden is amazing. It is a great experience in the nature. :)

Nous avons été reçus par des personnes formidables, d'une gentillesse extrême, l'hébergement est très bien, l'environnement tout autant avec en prime un très, très beau jardin. Depuis 14 ans que nous vivons à Bali nous y avons mangé un des meilleurs nasi goreng. Nous reviendrons, c'est sûr.

If you're looking for peace and quiet in a beautiful location then you can't go wrong. The cabins were simple but charming, and the view was amazing. The staff were very friendly.

I was looking for a place near the start of the Batucaru hike and found one of the most beautiful places in Bali! First of all, the owners are super wonderful and friendly people. Second, absolutely every corner is so beautiful, you just connect with nature everywhere. What delicious food they cook - it will definitely be on the list of my favorite Indonesian food. The house is magical, and this view from the window when you wake up. I 100000% recommend coming here and relaxing for the soul🤍

This stay was truly unforgettable, set in an authentic accommodation perfectly in tune with nature. Never in my life have I encountered hosts as kind-hearted, welcoming, and generous. From the moment I arrived, I felt embraced by a warm and caring family atmosphere, as if I had always belonged there. Yuni, endlessly kind and attentive, is an exceptional cook. Each meal is lovingly prepared, using fresh ingredients, many of which come directly from their own garden. The flavors, the freshness, and the attention to detail in every dish reflect both skill and genuine passion. Spending these three nights with them was an absolute joy. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone seeking an authentic experience off the beaten path. It's also the perfect base to explore nearby treasures such as Munduk, Jatiluwih, Menjangan Island, or Lovina.

Lovely location, wonderful staff, comfortable accommodation, great home cooked food

The water system was a bit noisy, and it was difficult to achieve the "right" hot water temperature. You get used to it with practice and definitely not a deal-breaker for such a lovely place!

We had an amazing stay out in the woods! The Rooms are super cozy and the garden is super lush and well taken care of. Its runned and owned by the family and they are super sweet and professional! Great english and great customer service! They cooked amazing local food! The area is full of bananas, papayas, avocados, coconuts and even pineapples! Highly recommend for a get away. Super quiet and peaceful!

Séjour exceptionnel et inoubliable ! Merci à cette famille pour leur accueil incroyable, ils ont fait de ce séjour ma plus belle et émouvante étape à Bali. Vous devez venir pour les rencontrer et découvrir le coin de paradis qu'ils ont créé. La cabane est magnifique et très confortable. Elle est équipée d'eau bien chaude, un vrai confort en pleine nature ! Tous les repas servis sont excellents, parmis les meilleurs que j'ai goûté à Bali également ! Mille mercis à vous !
