The Moat Wrotham

Lovely comfortable stay at The Moat when I was walking the Pilgrim's Way back in May. Brilliantly located along the route. Nice self contained room and a lovely destination restaurant and inn. Set me up nicely for a day's walking on to Rochester.

The Inn opened at 12 noon so no breakfast but that was ok.

Air conditioning in the bedroom would have been great but I guess we only have a few weeks of the year really hot in the uk

Don’t know how we managed to find this at such a good price and fairly last minute given there was an event at Brands Hatch and there was a wedding at the Moat! But I’m so glad we did! Staff were brilliant - such a busy Saturday evening for them but everyone had a smile, welcomed us fully and found us a table for dinner. Thank you so much. The rooms really are lovely - they’re even nicer in person compared to online. Well equipped, loved the pillows and nice to have a door code rather than keys - so much easier! It has all been refurbished to a really good standard. The food in the restaurant was top notch and drinks were reasonably priced. Already planning to come back when we next visit Brands!

My husband was woken a couple times from the noise from the wedding (I wasn’t however!).

Clean, spacious and modern... The restaurant next door was excellent. Staff was a delight.

Location is about 1.5km outside Wrotham on a busy road. If you are on the Pilgrim Path, expect a walk down a road with dodgy sidewalks to get to the hotel. No breakfast at this site.
