Quirky Vaulted Flat with Terrace

It was small but clean and functional, also close to the town.

The steep steps,but to be fair, it might be more pleasant in the good weather.

Wonderful hosts, very quick to respond and kindly let us have a late checkout. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for somewhere quirky to stay.

Not really a critisism, more a heads-up for the hosts to mention! We went to Bath Spa when we were there and left our phones in the flat. The front door key doesn't work, it's only a keycode, stupidly we did not memorise the key code and were very nearly on the streets all night! Luckily someone was leaving the front door after us panicking for some time. Maybe best to mention to guests- KNOW THE CODE!! Our own faults entirely and would not hesitate to book again.

The location was perfect for going into town. A very short work and we were there. Sian and Christian were very quick to respond to any questions we had. We loved the quirkiness of The Vault. It was very cosy and all you needed was there. Sian and Christian thoughtfully left a gift for my daughter whose bday treat it was to come to Bath for the Christmas markets. Was a beautiful stay .Thank you.

There wasn't really anything we didn't like. Everything you needed was there ie WiFi code etc x

Location was great, very short walk into town. The bed was super comfy and warm. The apartment was small but very clean. The toilet was very clean too.

On arrival, there was only coffee and milk, unfortunately no tea, sugar or anything like salt, pepper. Which is fine but for just 2 nights, I was not going to buy those things for a couple of meals. The apartment is also a little cold and I did not want to have the AC on all the time. The stairs down to get into the apartment can be a bit dangerous if it is raining.

Clean, beds comfortable, well equipped kitchenette. Towels, linen included and good quality.

The position of the apartment was disappointing and not what we expected. Pre warning needed when visiting a beautiful place such as bath. The street is not pretty. The outlook is not holiday standard and the garden is unloved. The decking was very wet and because of the garden it was not inviting. Very damp smelling in the apartment. A shame because the decor has been thought about and the look inviting.

The deck outside is really nice, and the apartment itself looks very cool. You can see the attention to Details everywhere - little Design decisions, coffee, milk and tea waiting for you, very soft towels and pillows. By foot it's about 10 minutes to the abbey, the Pump Room etc.

The floor is pretty cold, since the rooms are in the basement. So best bring slippers or thick socks :)

My partner and I have just stayed here for a long weekend for three nights. We found the two single beds very comfortable, the air conditioning unit was very easy to use, we liked the star lights dangling from above the bed - we thought it was very romantic, we liked how private the vaults was from the rest of the house and we thought the location to the city centre was a good distance away.

My partner and I thought that the vaults has great potential, however there are quite a few cleanliness / house keeping factors that need to be mentioned. Firstly, we are echoing previous reviews in that the blinds covering the two main doors that enter the basement flat need to be changed to more suitable blinds / draped curtains, as they were quite obviously broken in areas, which allowed quite a lot of light to enter the flat, especially in the mornings. The large gaps in the blinds also meant that we didn’t feel that safe at night in terms of someone potentially looking in, as we could see outside from laying in bed, which meant that we felt a little exposed at times. The blinds were also very dusty when touched. Upon arrival, we found that there was a half used milk in the fridge, which has not been replaced before we arrived. There was a mouldy wooden spoon in one of the utensil draws in the kitchen area, as well as a used sponge by the sink which had bits of food on one side, which also seemed to not have been replaced before we arrived. The lights hanging above the sofa on the wall in the living room area did not turn on, meaning that the batteries need to be replaced with new ones. The TV also did not turn on, echoing previous reviews. In the bedroom, we could not have the main lights on which were on the ceiling a lot of the time as they flickered really badly as soon as you turned them on. Although the beds were very comfy, my partner and I both found several pieces of hair in the sheets of the bed on both sides. The floor of the flat also seemed to be quite dirty and dusty, which prevented us from walking around bare foot. These factors above made us question whether the flat had been cleaned prior to our arrival. Additionally, the painting of the walls need to be re-done as the paint is chipped in several areas of the flat as well as excess wires sticking out of the walls.
