Quirky Vaulted Flat with Terrace

First up, it’s a great location. A 5 minute walk and you are right in the centre of Bath. There’s been loads of thought put in to this stay, from chargers to all the things you need (iron, hairdryer, kitchen stuff etc). The beds are comfy and the shower is fab! Everything was super clean and the hosts really friendly and helpful.

There’s quite a few stairs (and some outside) so might be tricky if you’re unfit or it’s wet.

The hosts were so helpful and went above and beyond to offer advice and suggest places we could go. The place was cosy, clean and tidy. We really appreciated them allowing us to drop our bags off early and to check out later. The beds were comfy and the quilts and pillows were good quality. The Vaults was close to the city centre of Bath which was ideal. Air con was good!

We both didn’t sleep well due to the blinds on the door not fitting properly and because of this we didn’t like the fact that somebody could actually see in when we were sleeping if they had wanted to. This really needs sorting as lots of light gets in too. The actual door looked like someone had tried to break in and the area The Vaults is in didn’t make us feel particularly safe. The shower temperature was either scorching or freezing. The bedroom light was constantly flashing which was rather annoying and one bedside table was broken meaning that you couldn’t put anything on it as it would slide off. It backs onto a train track which we knew about. Unfortunately the trains did disturb us at night too. There were little bits in the property which need finishing/sorting (wire sticking out of the wall and a better front door). NB In response to the owner's comments, whilst laying in bed we could see outside therefore meaning people could also look inside to see us. It is a simple thing to fix, new blinds or a curtain that goes across. This would solve the problem with regards to the light. There is no bedroom door so you cannot avoid seeing the front door. Yes, you did inform me re: the railway. I was just adding that we were disturbed by it. I am sure other people won't be. The nature of the some parts of my review, as you state, is subjective (opinion), just as it is your opinion that it is in a nice area. On walks back, we had to navigate through many highly intoxicated people sat in the alleyways drinking. Sorry, I thought our review was a very fair and accurate one. I complimented you on many things and fed back on areas which need to be improved.

It was cozy, clean, quirky & close to town center. It had everything you need & loved the private outdoor area. Very comfy beds & lovely fluffy towels too.

Didn’t like the 2 lots of very steep stairs & steps! We had lots of heavy luggage but I suppose it wouldn’t be that bad if you just had small bags. Also the stairs & steps wouldn’t be suitable for everyone!

As described in the photos, no marketing tricks:) Spotlessly clean and romantic. The owners were responsive, helpful, respectful and definitely artistic as we learned that the whole design was carried out by themselves.

The stairs to get to the property are not the comfortable and not suitable for disabled people or the elderly, I suppose. The cosy beautiful sink needs a tiny drainer to help have the dishes drained and dried up and also to avoid making a mess on the kitchen tiles. The pillows could be more comfortable a tad. And finally, be careful with the toilet lock as it is quite sharp and it costed me a newly bought T-shirt torn apart by the sharp end of it once entering the bathroom:(

I really liked the very thorough communication with the hosts regarding the keys and the layout of the little kitchen which had been stocked with essentials such as tea, coffee and milk which was appreciated after a long coach journey. The beds were extremely comfortable with ample pillows. It looks really quirky and we loved the outdoor space which is covered by a gazebo and has comfortable chairs and a table so you can have breakfast or drinks out there.

There are a couple of things that were not perfect but then they are to be expected in a property which is in the bottom floor of a georgian buliding such as the very cool temperature at times. Older people may not appreciate the steep steps that lead down into the entrance of the apartment but it is well lit in the evening by a lamp that goes on as you pass by :)

Christian & Sian we’re excellent with answering messages promptly very accommodating with earlier check in and late check out , the accommodation had everything you could need and was very comfortable the decked area outside is lovely , the only drawback are the stairs going down to the property but we were pre warned of these . The location to the centre was great only a short walk into town
