Staying with Kintragit and his family was the highlight of our month-long journey through Asia. Even though they were the first hosts we stayed with, the warmth and genuine hospitality we experienced here surpassed all others. From the moment we arrived, we were embraced as though we were part of their family, and that feeling stayed with us until the moment we left. The homestay's location is ideal—just a short 5-minute tuk-tuk ride to the main hub of Unawatuna and within walking distance of the beautiful Turtle Beach. Our room, which overlooked the serene beach, was thoughtfully prepared for our honeymoon. It was spacious, immaculately clean, and decorated with such care that it felt like a true home away from home. One of the most touching moments came during a night of relentless rain. Rather than let us brave the storm, the family lovingly prepared a meal for us, making sure we were comfortable and well-fed. This simple but heartfelt gesture perfectly encapsulated their kindness and generosity. What made this stay truly unforgettable was the chance to connect with Kintragit and his wonderful family. Spending time with them, learning about their culture, and feeling so welcomed into their lives made this experience one we will always treasure. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality, and we are forever grateful for the memories we created here. Thank you, Kintragit and family, for making our stay so special. You couldn’t be closer to the beach- the sound of the waves all night was the best lullaby! The place was clean and comfortable, with the kindest family ready to help however they can. They made an amazing, fresh breakfast every morning and cared about our stay. Will for sure come again!

Good value for money and absolutely lovely staff with good Sri Lankan breakfast. Huge room and shower. Garden is still being built, so not yet usable. The Beach at this spot is a thin strip, but walking either left/right for a few hundred meters leads you to other beaches. Hearing the waves at night was nice, there's no A/C a but two strong fans.

No A/C (but it's manageable without, fans work well) :)

You could hear the waves while you sleep (if you leave the window open). It has a big nice space to relax and big windows so enough light comes in with a great view to the palm trees and you can see the ocean a little bit. The downstairs was still under construction. Breakfast was included and very good!
