The family : their friendliness , their smile, the way they connect with people. Location is amazing, beautiful garden with lots of fruit trees. Home cooking is delicious. The children are so sweet and knowledgeable.

Hot in the room but airco is efficient.

Couldn't have imagined a better homestay. The host family is super welcoming, will go above and beyond to make you feel truly at home. Especially amazing were the sri lankan dinner and breakfast. If you want truly authentic experience, you have to visit. Truly lovely place, wish we stayed a lot longer!

This stay was way more the just an accommodation - it was a full on experience! Kumari and her family went above and beyond to make our days here just perfect! They welcomed us open heartedly and arranged everything to our liking. They took us to dambulla cave temple, got us fresh coconuts, prepared awesome food, took as to pidurangula rock at 5am for sunset, did a free village tour with us and arranged a jeep safari. Also just sitting on our little terrace and enjoying the beautiful nature was amazing! We had perfect days here and would definitely recommend this stay. We would recommend it to everyone who wants the perfect experience and a beautiful place to stay! 🥰 Thank you so much!

My partner and I booked for 2 nights and absolutely loved our stay here with Kumari and family. Our room was very comfortable and the whole property was well kept at all times. We definitely felt right at home during our stay and even the kids took us on their own private garden and village tour which was a 20/10. Safe to say this has been one of the best homestays we've stayed in and will definitely book again if we ever comeback in Sigjriya. Overall, beautiful family and would 100% recommend.

The family was really helpful with everything. They arranged us all we needed during our stay. Including dinners and activities around Sigirya. Food was really good and surroundings were pretty quiet.

The room was very comfortable, and waking up in what feels like the middle of the jungle was magical. Starting our mornings with coffee while watching monkeys climb trees right in front of us was an unforgettable experience. We were also touched by the family’s gesture of arranging a traditional meal, which was superbly amazing and incredibly tasty—a true highlight of our trip! We also thoroughly enjoyed the guided tours, which were both fun and incredibly helpful. The guides went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Overall, we highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a unique and serene getaway.

We had the most wonderful stay at this warm and welcoming family home in Sri Lanka. From the moment we arrived, we felt like part of the family. The house is spotlessly clean, and the beautiful courtyard, filled with fruit trees, was such a peaceful retreat, a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. Our stay at the Jungle Eco Lodge, run by Kumari and her wonderful family, was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed and right at home. The entire family was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The service was outstanding – from the pick-up and drop-off service to their excellent recommendations for activities in the area. Thanks to their tips, we enjoyed a bullock cart ride, a traditional cooking class, a boat trip, stunning wood carvings, and even discovered great clothing stores. Even on rainy days, Kumari and her family had creative ideas to ensure we made the most of our time. The food was an absolute highlight. Both the breakfast, tailored to our preferences, and the dinner were plentiful, incredibly delicious, and prepared with so much love. A special memory was created by the family’s children (6 and 10 years old), who guided us around the village, explained various plants, and took us to a local temple. They lovingly played with our 1-year-old son, giving us parents a small but precious moment to relax. Kumari’s father surprised us with a free tour of Sigiriya, showing us the nearby lake and a stunning viewpoint of Lion Rock and Pidurangala Rock. This level of hospitality went far beyond our expectations and truly touched our hearts. The room was clean, thoughtfully decorated, and equipped with air conditioning, making our stay very comfortable. We are deeply grateful to Kumari and her family for these unforgettable days. We felt incredibly at home and would highly recommend the Jungle Eco Lodge to anyone looking for an authentic, warm, and comfortable stay near Sigiriya and Dambulla. Everything perfect

This lovely home stay stays in our hearts for a long time. Family was so welcoming and we helt very safe and like home while staying here. Host helped us with everything and let us have their services the whole next day after staying. She also helped us to find services that we wanted and always wanted the best quality for our money. She booked us a safari and helped to choose the best one for us Dinner and breakfast were amazing and we also got extra lunch when asked. Kids took us to see their village and garden. Those were such a lovely tours! Garden and a view were great. If you want to stay and enjoy your time with heartful family, this is the place. We would come back anytime!

We enjoyed everything. Location is little further away from the center of Sigiryia, but you can rent scooter or host can get you tuktuk for good price. We loved that this location was in the nature, but good to know while booking.

Our hosts were welcoming and shared many interesting insights with us, making the conversations engaging and informative. The vegetarian meals they prepared, as per our request, were delicious and entirely home-cooked with ingredients from their own garden. Communication with them was smooth and helpful throughout our stay. We learned a lot about Sri Lankan traditions and values, which made the experience even more meaningful. On their recommendation, we went on a safari that turned into a private tour, where we saw a variety of animals. They also gave us a free tuktuk tour around Sigiriya, taking us to a stunning viewpoint and a herbal garden with an informative tour. Their hospitality made our stay unforgettable, and we’re grateful for such an enriching homestay experience.
