Isai Ambalam guest house

The location was very nice, the rooms very comfortable and clean. Equipped with scooters it was very easy to move around. The staff was friendly and very responsive. I would definitely love to come back.

Very nice stay, it was quiet and room was clean. The guesthouse is furthermore well located in Auroville and staff was warm and helping. I recommand!

Me gustó mucho la ubicación, pese que esta lejos de Matrimadir, hay cosas cerca como el sound garden y otros atractivos. La cocina compartida esta bien equipada, la gente que trabaja allo es muy amable, cuentan con bicicletas y motos para rentar. Hay agua caliente para bañarse. Los animales a las 5 am, es soñado

El wifi no funcionaba de mi habitación y eso me complico el poder trabajar desde allí. La manta olía mucho a humedad. El baño de al lado del recepcion olía siempre q lo usaba

Well ventilated, Spacious room, Comfortable bed and clean

The room is spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with tasteful and well-thought-out decoration ! However, despite the name, this is not really a “guesthouse” in the traditional sense – it operates more like a hotel. The common areas do exist but are not used at all, so there is no real sense of conviviality or opportunities to meet the hosts. To get around Auroville, renting a scooter is essential: distances are long, and at night it gets very dark in the forest, making walking quite impractical. Alternatively, you can order takeaway through Zomato, which offers a wide variety of options, since restaurants are not close by. In short: a very comfortable and well-maintained place, but more of a hotel experience than a warm, family-style guesthouse.

Should not be called « guesthouse » but the room is great anyway
