L'emplacement au bord du loch. Belles balades à proximité. Chambre spacieuse et confortable. Très bon petit déjeuner. Très bon accueil.

Ich habe als Bewertung ein 10 gegeben. korrekt, wäre es vielleicht etwas weniger, doch das Hotel war für uns mit einem herrlichen Charme eines ehrwürdigen britischen Hotels was schon 100 Jahre existiert behaftet. Das Personal ist extrem nett und zuvorkommend. Das Abendessen hat eigentlich einen Stern verdient. Cullen Skink, Haggis, Chranachan ist auf der Karte. Meine Frau hat noch nie ein so gutes Risotto gegessen. Das Frühstück excellent. Der Ausblick vom Zimmer auf den Loch Marree ist wunderschön.

Eigentlich war alles für uns besonders. Es gibt bestimmt 10 Dinge die nicht optimal waren, nicht perfekt. Doch gerade deswegen hat uns der ungeliftete Charme des Hotels bewegt..

Prachtige ligging aan het meer, schattige cottage. Ruime woonkamer/ eethoek. Uitstekend en smakelijk ontbijt.

Keukeninventaris is minimaal. Vaatwasser was buiten gebruik. Handdoeken waren oud en versleten. Bij ontbijt onduidelijk dat het via menukaart besteld kon worden.

Le lieu en bord du lac et l emplacement parfait pour continuer sur gairloch et inverewe garden. Le restaurant etait tres bon aussi.

Il manquait un peu de place dans la chambre pour poser les valises a cause du fauteuil. Pour la salle de bain, il n y avait pas beaucoup de pression pour se doucher le soir et l eau de couleur jaune surprend de premier abord meme si elle s avere bonne (eau de source teintee par la tourbe).

A localização é soberba, a vista fantástica. Os funcionários super simpáticos, sempre prontos para ajudar. Ofereceram-nos o pequeno almoço.

A limpeza estava regular e a água em toda a casa era amarela.

The view from this hotel over the lake is fabulous. If your staying a few days it would be worth extra to enjoy it. The food was also extremely good. Quite expensive at first appearance but actually you got what you paid for! It was good quality, tasty and plenty of it. The included breakfast - I had scrambled eggs with salmon and it was fabulous with extremely generous slices of smoked salmon. My partner had a full breakfast and he also thought it was very good. The room wasn't a very generous size and quite dated but obviously there has been improvements made and it was just one night for us and the bed was comfortable and it was clean. The staff were extremely good - polite helpful and welcoming. Brilliant team we thought.

I'm going to mention the water because it's a surprise if you don't read signs (most of us don't until we see the issue). It is a natural supply and therefore slightly peaty coloured out if the tap. Bottled drinking water is available but be prepared because the toilet water looks dirty - at that point you read the numerous signs. :) Most importantly I absolutely 100% would recommend and would definitely stay again.

Hotel needs some investment,especially in the plumbing area.

Well firstly, what a setting, it is a beautiful spot with typically amazing scottish scenery. We even saw the Sea Eagles, coming down to the Loch for fish. Duncan, the gent who greeted us and was our host for most of the time we were there, was attentive and funny and was always working hard to keep all the guests happy. The food was of a high standard and that goes for the breakfast too, with a beautiful vista out of every window it really is worth a visit. The room was clean and comfy, and overlooked the loch.

I tried to have a bath, and whilst I am used to the brown water, the temp only allowed me half a bath full. We also had trouble getting some of the terrestrial channels on the tv, but there was a leaflet informing us that this could happen, so I guess you can't do too much more than that.

This was a lovely hotel, old but full of character and had been done up nicely. The setting was beautiful right next to the loch with amazing views. We stayed in a double room, it was a good size and had everything we needed. The bed was really comfy and slept well. The staff there were really lovely and friendly, you can tell they take great pride in the hotel and it makes it a great welcoming atmosphere to stay. The breakfast was great too, there was cereal, fruit, toast etc. and then you can also order a hot breakfast off the menu too, they had a full Scottish breakfast, avocado and egg on toast, scrambled egg and salmon, so tasty.

Not much, it was very comfortable and cosy, only small thing was the bedding was a bit bobbly and could do with upgrading but overall would still definitely recommend!
