Cottage in Wells

Comfortable ,convenient, clean, very pleasantly furnished, and cool during a heatwave

Liked everything!

The cottage was exactly as seen in the pictures. Very clean with everything we needed for a short stay. It was right by the cathedral and walking distance to everywhere in Wells. Perfect for us with two young children. A bonus to have a lovely courtyard outside to eat out on too.

Beautiful period cottage in great location in Centre of Wells.

Location was excellent. Wells is a lovely city.

Rather tatty. could do with an upgrade. Single glazing so lots of traffic noise. Booking com didn’t send us the details of how to get in or when to check out.

A charming, well-appointed cottage right in the heart of Wells - perfectly situated within walking distance of everything the city has to offer, with a wealth of attractions in the surrounding area too. We visited during a particularly warm weekend in June, and the cottage stayed nice and cool. The sunny garden was great, ideal for relaxing with a cold beer after a long day exploring. Wells boasts a great selection of restaurants and pubs, so we mostly dined out. However, the cottage is impressively well-equipped for those who prefer to cook. Plenty of mugs, plates, glasses, utensils plus the all-important cafetière! Clear comms from the owners, highly recommend this cottage!

Not the owner’s fault, but parking restrictions had recently changed. There were always spaces available right outside the cottage, but the Council has now introduced residents-only parking between 12–2pm daily. It didn’t affect us much, as we were only around during that window on one day. Perhaps a visitor permit will be available in the future. (Not a criticism, just stating awareness). Location. Absolutely perfect for Wells centre

Nothing really…parking a bit hit & miss but that’s life and nothing the property owners can do about it

The shower and toilet room was in need of updating and the inside of the shower was mouldy so we didn’t feel comfortable using it. The outside of the property doesn’t do it justice as it’s very tatty.

The location was great. We parked the car (luckily by the front door) and walked every where. Wells is a beautiful town.

The house was very musty when we arrived. That did get better over the next few days. I don't know if we were the first visitors of the season or if it is always musty due to the old stones, but perhaps if it is heated for a few days before arrival that would help.

Location was very good, good market on Saturday a short walk, eating out beware gets very busy Friday / Saturday evening

Parking o Saturday is a bit hit or miss because of the market I guess not an issue for us as we always found somewhere
