Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge

Fantastic location in heart of Cambridge. The room was as expected although mine was in the modern wing so a bit soulless. Breakfast was fantastic - really top notch full English .

The room wasn’t very clean on arrival.

The staff was incredibly helpful and relocated us to a different room after an unfortunate fire alarm malfunction.

The fridge in the room was very loud and woke us up in the night

I liked that it was a 25 minutes walk to city center, and located on a historic college campus. It was also a good value with the free breakfast. The porters were also very helpful and a grocery store is located right across the street.

My particular room was located on a busy street near pubs, and it was a Saturday night. It was also a shared bathroom.

Location

It was rather dinky, the “brutalist “ Blundell Court hidden behind the college surrounded by a ghastly dark car park filled with old furniture, two skips of rubbish, building materials that destroyed all my romantic notions of experiencing the Cambridge University of my dreams. . I could not read in bed because there was no bedside light and at night I had to get out of bed , go to the door to switch off the lights and grope my way in the darkened room back to bed to avoid crashing into the furniture. The towels were a bit mean. Staff quite snooty from rubbing shoulders with scholars I guess and not helpful. The breakfast which i tried only once on my last day was not in the great dining hall as I had hoped but the old kitchen area with coffee served in takeaway cups.

Lovely room in great location. Value for money.

Very hot in the room Breakfast was very poor in terms of service and quality. We had to wait for hot food and no sooner it came out it was gone unless you were very quick. Not sure why so little was cooked at a time.

Friendly staff and easy check in. Our double room was spotless and the breakfast was excellent. Sidney Sussex is in the heart of Cambridge making it accessible for all amenities and attractions

Staying in the rooms of a real Cambridge college was a great experience. The breakfast was superb

Zimmer zweckmäßig in schönem College Ambiente drumherum. Das Frühstück war okay, die Lage perfekt direkt in der Innenstadt umgeben von Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurants. Sehr hilfsbereites und freundliches Personal!

因為房型不同，不在同一棟。 如果家庭住客，要注意。
