Hotel Deli River and Restaurant Omlandia

Na een lange reis was dit hotel perfect om te acclimatiseren. Heerlijk zwembad en super lief personeel. Met de app grab hebben we heel makkelijk vervoer geregeld van en naar Medan. Hier komen we zeker terug

Rigtig dejligt hotel med rigtig venlige personaler og en skøn have og pool! En skøn oase i den hektiske trafik i Medan.

Lokalområdet udenfor hoteller var ikke så attraktivt og egnet til at gå rundt. Man skulle tage taxa for at komme til butikker hvor man kunne handle. Generelt kan man ikke gå rundt i Medan og skal forvente en del taxakørsel. Hotellet var meget behjælpelig med at hjælpe med transport, ligesom app’en “Grab” kunne bruges til at hyre taxaer til en god pris.

Beautiful hotel, we loved the pool area. Not a massive pool but perfect size for us, our children enjoyed it a lot. Restaurant was great, food was delicious. We only stayed one night on our way back to the airport from Bukit Lawang, so did not explore the surroundings much. The room was very comfortable and clean. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful.

It can be a bit noisy with the call to prayer, there are earplugs provided in the room. The airport transfer seemed expensive so we booked one on Grab which was half the price and absolutely fine.

Bad etwas in sie Jahre gekommen für ein 5Sterne Haus. Essen im Restaurant grundsätzlich sehr gut, aber das Lammcurry enthielt mehr Knochen als Fleisch.

The location and friendly staff plus having a porch to sit on. the rooms and cafe were very clean. It was nice to have a local yoga teacher come to teach yoga on sunday morning and playing his musical bowls was an unexpected addition to the yoga class.

The air conditioning needs either maintenance or replacement as it was set to 16 degrees but never got cooler in the room. Though it was kind of in nature, there was a mosque next door (realize can't do anything about it, but this one seemed extra loud) and there was likely a wedding or other loud music coming from a property nearby (realized they can't do anything about it). So the quiet verdant photos were not the reality. Maybe it was just bad timing on our part to be there on a saturday afternoon and sunday morning.

Mooie ruime schone kamer met fijn balkon en uitzicht op de tuin. Heerlijk om te verblijven voor of na je vlucht. Een mooi onderhouden tuin, groot zwembad om heerlijk af te koelen en een goed restaurant.

Deli River hotel is a lovely and quiet place in the busy town of Medan. We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was well equipped and spacious, and also looked very nice with little Indonesian touches. Breakfast was delicious, overlooking the pond with the geese couple, and relaxing Indonesian music in the background. We also had dinner in the restaurant and the served food tastes really good. Very friendly staff, all of them!
