Rusty Duck Retreat Shepherds Hut

The owners had gone the extra mile, the lighting, plenty of sockets, the hob, bed and decor...it was absolutley lovely. Very clean and peaceful, i'll be staying again.

There wasn't anything i didnt like.

This cute little shepherd’s hut was cosy and kitted out with everything you might need for a short stay. A lovely shower and a good WiFi connection! It was immaculately clean, warm and comfortable, with an assortment of tea and coffee items, condiments and all the herbs and spices you could want if you are inclined to cook some basic dishes. Communication was excellent and whilst we didn’t actually see the hosts, they made sure we had everything we needed and supplied a contact number for any issues.

Nothing to write here - it really was a lovely little place.

A lovely weekend stay - comfortable, cosy with everything you could possibly need. Even in the bad weather I had, it was a great place to stay and enjoy the peace and quiet and the occasional friendly visit of Bella the labrador!

Quick and easy check in, the warm welcome from Bella was a nice extra also! Simon and Alex were fantastic, no request too small! will 110% be back!

Lovely accommodation in a lovely area. Place was very clean and well kept.

Wasn’t a big issue for us but it was very overlooked by the main house.

I stayed here for two nights and had such a peaceful, relaxing experience. The setting is beautiful and quiet, with lovely views over the lake. The lodge was cosy, clean, and well set up. Everything felt calm and well looked after. I’d definitely recommend this stay to anyone looking for a nice getaway and would happily return. The hosts were really helpful aswell. With their lovely dog roaming around too.
