The hot tub was the best part of the whole stay, the interior of the house was lovely too, it was nice to get away

- The fridge looked filthy, in particular there was some rust on the door handle. There was also a small patch of yellow grease on the front of the fridge door - Few stains on pillows and quilts in most rooms. Our parent’s bedroom had 2 brown stains each the size of a 2p coin - Didn’t have a way of drying clothes, there was no dryer as previously stated in the listing and the book provided - Kitchen isn’t big enough or equipped with enough appliances for a family of 5 but we made do. This is not feasible overall - Wardrobe locked in one of the rooms so we couldn’t hang clothes, and another room didn’t have a wardrobe (we did see the pictures on the listing) - Patchy paintwork across the whole house, particularly around the light switch in the living room, the bathroom, the hall, and outside the property - Neighbours can look into the garden from their upstairs windows, particularly when we are in the hot tub. This is not your fault, but just noting this for our privacy and any future guests. - Neighbour’s cat defecated into our garden near the hot tub. Need some way to close it out in future if possible. - There were numerous wires hanging down in all of the bedrooms and the handrail light - No recycling bins provided - Not enough plug sockets available across all rooms of the property - Rules laid out for the house are excessive, It’s understandable to be quiet at certain times during the evening though. Too many rules to make us feel paranoid and scared to fully enjoy ourselves - Wanting money for almost anything bad that happens, for example overfilling bins, causing minor breakages, late checking out - No book in the house as previously stated to make comments - Shower floor is very slippy when wet - There were no Non-Slip mats provided in the base of the shower - No drying rack for our dishes

The bedrooms were nice, comfy and clean. The location was good and the hot tub was lovely. Plenty of seating in the living room and areas to get ready upstairs. Big fridge and plenty of glassware etc. Decorations were nice for a girly trip and we did have great fun. Overall would recommend.

The livingroom and kitchen however had quite a strong musty smell to it , maybe poor drainage? The fridge also had quite a strong smell. The airfryer when we went to use it had black goop and grime inside of it with fluffly mould. We could not find the hairdryer or curler so i am unsure if it was inaccessible or just not provided. We stayed for 2 friends birthdays and were asked to let them know if we were celebrating anything, which we did though nothing additional was done (not essential but was implied with them asking).

The house was clean and tidy throughout, and the bedding was fresh and comfortable. The garden was also well-kept.

Unfortunately, our stay was very uncomfortable. The heating only worked in a couple of rooms despite this they were lukewarm, while the rest of the house was absolutely freezing. Despite frosty, icy weather, the house was only 11°C on arrival. The heating had not been turned on in advance, leaving the property unacceptably cold. Even after being left on continuously for hours, the temperature only reached 18°C, which is nowhere near warm enough—especially for a family with children. At night, myself and my children had to layer up with multiple blankets and even wear robes just to keep warm, which is completely unacceptable for a paid stay. A previous negative review from a year ago mentioned the same heating problem, which clearly has still not been addressed. It got so unbearably cold that we would have left if it weren’t for my son’s birthday. On top of that, we noticed there were extra charges threatened if fake tan or makeup got on the robes or towels. This felt unreasonable, especially since these are items that can be easily cleaned and are part of normal guest use. Especially considering the property has a hot tub. Guests are expected to go in and out of the hot tub, dry off, and keep the floors clean, yet are threatened with extra charges if they get dirty. On top of that, the additional charge for using the hot tub itself felt excessive. Due to harsh rules it made us feel on edge and constantly restricted. Basic amenities were also lacking. For example, there was only one toilet roll provided for a family of five.

It was hard to get the whole room warm, though turning on the heat for the whole night. It was dirty everything was to old and outdated. We did not have a good time
