The veranda has a beautiful overlook. The chairs are comfortable, lovely calm music, and spray misters to keep you comfortable. The property is beautiful. The location is great, right between Hotchkiss and Paonia.
The host said she was overwhelmed with hosting a music night as well as a wedding. As a result, she didn’t respond at all to the two messages we sent, one before the trip and one during. She provided a swamp cooler without condensate line so it just leaked into the room. It was unbelievably hot in June. She provides a coffee machine and water boiler without an extension cord so you can make coffee but have to move it to the floor. The place is filled with pointless knickknacks rather than being thoughtful to create a comfortable space when it’s so tiny. I would suggest staying in a tent as they are larger and have the same amenities.

A rustic, pretty setting with views of the distant mesa. 10 Minute drive into downtown Paonia.
Not a very friendly welcome. Maybe I missed the memo in the marketing materials for this accommodation, but I wasn’t expecting a porta potty and one freezing tiny bathroom, which I had to share with a whole bunch of people.
