Brinkley's River Village

Staff, rooms, garden, location

Pity the restaurant wasn't open. And although the staff offered to get us a braai grid, there was no crockery or cutlery in the room so we went out for supper.

Lovely place with fabulous staff, a gorgeous garden, comfortable beds and great views from the windows. The only thing which we were a little surprised by was that the braai was not our own exclusive braai and that there was no crockery or cutlery in the units. The staff said they were quite happy to organize same for us, however we thought it might be easier to eat out. Other than this, we loved our brief time at Brinkley's and will happily visit again.

Everything

Very friendly staff, comfortable room, it has a swimming pool (a lifesaver in a heatwave), and there's a gorgeous cat called Lizzie.

There was a group of people talking rather loudly outside my room. They did quieten down after I said I was trying to sleep, but it was awkward. Also, unfortunately there are regular power cuts in South Africa (they happen everywhere, which is not the fault of the hotel).

The Bar and Restaurant

Room... No proper toilet door . No Shower . No Counter space or vanity cupboard to put something on. Cupboard for clothes in terrible state!!
