First, the B&B is, from the communication I have received, managed by people not residing in Bologna. This can certainly work if communication is swift and reliable. Unfortunately it is not. Several of my messages through booking.com have been left without response for more than 24h at the time of writing. In particular the request for help with finding a safe place for my bike has been completely ignored by management (after they informed me I was not allowed to bring it into the room) and the local room manager simply reiterated this although there is ample space and I ensured I know how to not make the walls dirty because of it (this was my 17th B&B on a bikepacking trip and the 16 previous ones had no issue finding a solution for the bike). In the end, this was a dealbreaker for me, and I had to arrange accommodation elsewhere because I couldn’t let my bike stay in the street. Apart from the lost money it was obviously a cause of stress. Second, the hosts are completely unflexible wrg arrival time (I arrived earlier than planned) and then arrive late themselves. My official arrival time was 15.00 and I was let in at 15.45. Third, the air condition in the room, as announced in booking.com, consists of a desktop fan. For me, this is not ”air condition”. Fourth, the shared bathrom is not only shared with the other guests but also with the local room manager who uses the washing machine in it very frequently (probably cleaning laundry from other associated B&Bs) also late in the evening.
