Didn’t have breakfast as up early to go racing but location was good for us

Couldn’t complain about anything

It was ideally located for either the coastal towns or the North Yorkshire National Park and was just 40 minutes from the city of York. I loved the room with a huge picture window to take advantage of the lovely view and we even had access to a balcony on which we could sit! The icing on the cake was a Jacuzzi bathtub! Our hosts were VERY accommodating and went out of their way to meet our needs, with a bit of magic thrown in!!

The tricky driveway out onto a busy road but it’s ok once you are used to it.

Lovely location. Although just off the main road, the back of the house is very peaceful. Good food. Good hosts. This was our second visit and won't be our last. Thank you Sandra and Dave.

Very nice, quiet location. Breakfast excellent, set us up for the day. Kept amused by ducks and hen who come to greet you at the door.

Fantastic owners, nothing was to much trouble,loved everything about it, breakfast superb,ideal location for our stay, highly recommend to anyone, very happy with the hole stay 😊

Proper home from home our hosts Sandra &David nothing is to much trouble and history of the local area is definitely a plus breakfast is absolutely wonderful freshly sourced produce yoghurt and preserves are really lovely as well as the perfectly cooked full English breakfast thank you Sharon &David for a truly rememberable stay

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like if your looking for a quiet escape wood cottage definitely fits the bill
