The Wood Cottage

The cabin was cosy and very warm with the log burner, close to both Pickering and Scarborough and good bus route if needed. Breakfast was plentiful and hosts fantastic with David doing his card tricks to have you feel at ease. Cabin had all the amenities needed to cook for yourself if required but the hosts also had food available with 25 hours notice and reasonably priced with main, dessert and drink for £20pp. Cannot fault and great place to stay for a relaxing break, the hens and ducks were an added bonus.

Amazing hosts and so welcoming! Food was unreal, laughter all round and the magic at breakfast made for one exceptional stay.

The cottage is a lovely place to stay, hoists make you feel so welcome, breakfast is amazing loved our time away .

We loved everything about The Wood Cottage. The cabin was very well equipped with everything we could possibly need, and it was warm & cosy. The hosts were lovely and welcoming, and the breakfasts were delicious, served in a beautiful room in the main house. We would return in a heartbeat, and hopefully will one day.

The chalet is set in a lovely garden area, with ducks running freely. Chalet has very cosy and homely, with everything you needed. The added bonus of the log fire. Sandra and David were very welcoming.

Our time there was not long enough, but we have booked again for next year. 😁

Cabin was super comfy with everything you needed including fresh milk tea bags and coffee location was good for exploring round about breakfast was spot on and Sandra and David were the perfect hosts we were especially impressed by Davids magic tricks at breakfast and his knowledge of the quirky alterations in the breakfast lounge . We come back in a heartbeat
