the road leading to the hotel and the signs from the road are not illuminated...

We were in the Washington Suite in Windham. Beautiful location with a lovely mountain view, up a short dirt road away from other resorts with a nice, secluded feel but only a five-minute drive into town. The unit was spacious, clean, and comfortable with a nice living area, full kitchen, dining area and large outdoor deck with a hot tub. It was modern with a rustic feel. The beds were big and comfortable, there were two very nice bathrooms (one ensuite) with good water pressure, and the towels were big and soft. Immediately after booking, I got a very detailed email on finding the property along with check-in, checkout, and wifi instructions. I spoke with a customer service agent a couple of times on minor matters involving checkout after we left, and he couldn't have been friendlier or more professional. Good wifi connection, although very spotty cell service.

If I have to nitpick, I noticed a slight musty smell upon entry, although we got used to it quickly and I can't say it really detracted from the stay. The view is beautiful when you go out on the very big deck, but unfortunately from the living room --which has big glass doors -- it's somewhat obstructed by the hot tub, which is on a platform and surrounded by a wooden enclosure. That seems less an issue with the neighboring unit. The living room design is a bit odd - the fireplace is sort of off to one side and none of the furniture faces it (not an issue in August, but in winter, it might be) and there's a weird loft in the room. (Again, being nitpicky - the space is very attractive and comfortable overall). Also, there is some sound bleed from other units - you can hear doors open and close, talking, etc. - but the neighboring guests weren't noisy so it didn't bother us. I can imagine for noise-sensitive people it could be an issue. Finally, the instructions on using the keypad to lock and unlock the door were not accurate, and the keypad was glitchy, although we figured it out with some trial and error. I'd go back but would try a different building or unit next time.
