Location was good and relatively peaceful, it was cosy and a great place to chill in the evening. Bed was comfy and really awesome to be able to have so much open with the bi-fold doors. BBQ was great. Enough space for the two of us and our black Labrador.

Access track would not be good for lower chassis vehicles as heavily rutted and in places the trees encroach significantly over the track.

The location is perfect and the views are absolutely stunning. So calm and peaceful. It’s always very clean and well maintained. The kitchen is equipped with absolutely everything you need it’s ideal. The host answered all my questions promptly and was helpful.

The mattress is a little too firm for our liking so we brought a topper this time which is no issue for us at all. Everything else is perfect.

***NOT SUITABLE FOR COUPLES** I had booked this stay for my husband's 50th birthday, we had several issues with the property but the main issue was that there was not enough hot water for one person to shower. * My husband got in the shower on Saturday morning and within 1 minute of being in there he let out a high shriek, the water had turned stone cold! He jumped out and I was on the phone to the owner :Sophie, who’s response to our complaint was dismissive. At first, she said, "it's only a small tank and there is only enough water for 1 person " She then went on to accuse my husband of having a "long shower" I had to reiterate that he was only in there for one minute before it went cold and there was no information in her description that states that her place is fit for one person not two. She agreed it isn't mentioned. After having to labour the point that there was clearly a problem she admitted that the water should not go cold so soon. I then asked if she could send someone round to take a look to which she abruptly responded: “I can’t magically send a plumber round straight away!” Her solution was for us to take showers in her other vacant property: Shepherd’s hut which is a) located down a steep hill and b) we would have to go down there, turn the immersion tank on, wait an hour for the water to heat up, one of us can take a shower and then we would have to wait an additional hour for the second person to take a shower. This solution was obviously not acceptable especially for guests who are only staying for a couple of nights and are there to explore the area and it was certainly unacceptable for us as it was my husband’s birthday on the Saturday and we had plans that day, so we just had to have basin washes for the rest of our stay. Since that one interaction, Sophie didn’t even send a message to check if we were ok.

The setting is truly idyllic! Nothing but peace and tranquility. Facilities are great, especially given it is a small space - we wanted for nothing. Fantastic walks on the doorstep and a wonderful old pub a short walk away. It really is a break away from it all.
