Menlyn Maine Gem

It was clean and had all the basics you would expect.

The wifi code and router that was sent to me didn't exist and we had to use the Capital's general wifi which drops a lot and is very slow. The contact number I was given was a number in Dubai, no local number was provided so I had no one to contact about the wifi issue. Also the curtains are broken and need to be fixed.

At 2pm I was still waiting for my room key. The lifts is a nightmare, I was stuck for 10minutes in one. The lifts do not all go to the same floors and there is no clear markings. I got lost in the building, used the wrong lifts, because it was not marked or explained to me. I was not informed that the restourant is under construction, I had to walk to Menlyn Maine at 22:00 at night because my husband only came out of theater late at night. There was no help from any staff on other dinner opinions. I could not even drink coffee in my room. There was only ricoffee but no milk. Ricoffee is not coffee. But I was in anycase unable to make coffee because there was no milk or coffee creamer. There was a very disgusting dirty dishrag in kitchen. I could not even eat breakfast in my room, no room service? This was also not communicated. I chose this hotel as I wanted to be close by and at least wanted my stay to be comfortable. I could have rather paid more and stayed at The Capital. I did not even get a bottle of water in my room. A basic neccesity that could have at least been provided. Security did not even bother to watch me walk late at night to get food. I did not feel welcome, safe or like a guest.

I liked everything about the place. The location , beautiful apartment with everything you'll need for self catering..oh n the balcony i love it, we chilled while watching the view, was beautiful 💯

They said we must check in from 2pm..we arrived at 2pm but had to wait for the apartment keys for more than 30 mins because it was still being prepared.

Location is walking distance from my office. Checking in and out is very quick and convenient.

Location was perfect. It was within walking distance of our show at Sunbet Arena and also nice restaurants and shopping centre close by.

Cheked in at 14h30. When we walked into the apartment, it has not been cleaned yet after the previous guests stay. Bed was unmade, bathroom hasn't been cleaned, dirty towels and the tables were also dirty. We called reception and they said they would send someone to clean up. When the cleaner arrived, she apologised and said that it was not communicated to her that she had to clean the room. So somewhere, someone did not do their job. It cost us about an hour and half of time, between contacting reception and waiting for the cleaner to finish before we could settle in.
