Had everything I required and more. Shaheen and Julie could not have been more helpful. Just a short, half block walk to the Royal Mile. Shaheen was in contact via text to confirm arrival time and ensure I found the place. I arrived a bit early and Julie was there to greet me, let me in and show me the facilities. Room was so well equipped with hair dryer, hair straightener, magnifying mirror, plentiful towels, comfortable and firm bed, TV and great hot water. The communal kitchen(which I did not expect) had tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, even a washing machine! There was even a bathroom with a full bath to relax in after walking the city. Across the road was a Sainsburys market and the block was full of food shops. As a single woman travelling in a city I didnt know, I felt secure and safe as there were locks on front door, internal door and my room door.I just loved Thistle City Inn, would definitely stay again and recommend to all my friends.

It was noisy at night - they provided earplugs which was helpful and appreciated - but unfortunately it was still a restless night even though the facilities were very comfortable

Newly remodeled and modern, very hot water for showering, exceptionally clean, felt safe, close to sights, food, and pubs.

Bed was very hard, noisy bar patrons into the wee hours, no bath mat or extra towels.

Fantastic location. Very friendly nice staff, also very clean. I felt safe, comfortable, and at home. I will be back! Thank you!
