Close to town and quiet perfect for a bed when you have been for a night out and need a bed to sleep fab for the price

The room smells cigarette

The location is brilliant so close to the front.

Very dirty carpet looked as though it hadn’t been hoovered in a long while. Which is a shame as everything else was okay for what we payed.

Very friendly & helpful staff

The hotel is a great place to stay at. The staff are brilliantly friendly, helpful & couldn't ask for a better place to stay.

It was cheep get what you pay for and great location

I loved the location, so close to the centre and the arcades which was a god send with little ones. The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming too, it was a really lovely check in and you really got the impression they couldnt do enough for you. There was also tea and coffee in the room which I thought was a nice touch particularly given how incredibly cheap this stay was. The price was fantastic, I went with my 2 small children and it really took any pressure off. The beds were really comfortable and the bedding was all immaculately clean. The room itself was also clean and spacious. Curtains blocked the light well and the double glazing reduced the street noise to nothing. There are two locked doors to get in which makes it feel really safe. There was also a ceiling fan which made a big difference as the room was really warm and the bedding nice and thick. There was ample toilet roll and there was also hand soap which was good.

Unfortunately our room smelled of cigarettes and when I opened the window to try and air it more smoke blew in as our room was at the front and overlooked the steps where people sat and smoked until quite late (but were quiet and conscientious so no complaints). It was also a very still night otherwise I think the breeze would have both blown away the smoke and aired the room, so just unlucky I think. We also struggled with noise from the neighbouring room, nothing they could do anything about as it was a crying baby and...well...babies cry! But I did feel like I was back in my kids newborn days as it cried until late and then poor thing woke up crying early and the walls are very thin. The toilets also make a very loud noise so between the baby and the toilets I didnt get enough sleep - but id just bring earplugs next time (and probably should have this time) and it wouldnt be an issue.
