Rimba eco Resort

Arno and the staff are very kind and attentive people. After two months of staying in Indonesia, having fresh bread for breakfast here felt like a real treat. The location feels like being in the middle of the jungle, with a truly stunning natural environment.

However, the noise level is unfortunately terrible. Sounds from the valley echo straight up, and during our three nights here, it was almost impossible to get restful sleep. Loud chatter, karaoke, blaring music, and a disturbing bass played every night until the early hours. Even high-quality silicone earplugs didn’t help much. Overall, this is a beautiful place and Arno and his wife clearly put a lot of effort into their guests’ experience, but unfortunately, they have no control over the noise :( If a good night's sleep is important to you, it might be wise to consider staying a bit further away from Tomohon.

El alojamiento es muy bonito. Los bungalows están rodeados de un jardín tropical precioso y tienen bonitas vistas. Es ideal para explorar la región porque está muy cerca de los principales lugares turísticos de la zona y el propietario nos dio muy buenas recomendaciones. El desayuno también es excelente.

La única pega del alojamiento es que las habitaciones son muy ruidosas por la noche. Se escucha el ruido de la música, que puede alargarse hasta la madrugada, y a partir de las 4h empiezan las llamadas al rezo de las mezquitas, las misas, etc.

Wir hatten das Badezimmer im Untergeschoss und mussten um dorthin zu kommen aus dem Zimmer. Das war für den nächtlichen Toilettengang mühsam.

Ficamos 2 noites no Rimba e foi uma experiência bem legal. Os chalés ficam no meio da vegetação em uma área mais alta do vale de onde podemos ver parte da cidade e do vulcão Lokon. Arnold e todo o staff foram muito atenciosos durante nossa estadia.

Da pra ouvir o barulho e música da cidade.

This place is really unique, we were blown away. Great food, amazing breakfast and fabulous staff. There’s loads of tours, and the common room area gives opportunity to meet other travelers, it’s a very positive social space. We did two brilliant tours whilst staying here, try it all because there’s so much to see! The rooms are lovely. No faults!

Great location, relaxing athmosphere and friendly owner. We really enjoyed our time here, everywhere you look, you have an amazing view: the vulcano, the lush vegetation, plenty of big and colorful butterflies.

It can get a bit noisy from traffic
