Villa Belvedere Como Lake Relais

Location amazing, looking out over Lake Como! Great room and balcony area & very clean. Very close to eateries & ferry.

Breakfast was a little disappointing & dinner in restaurant was quite expensive.

Fabulous stay at Villa Belvedere for five nights, during which we celebrated my wife's 50th birthday. We asked for the room "Concordia" because it was a special occasion and we can highly recommend this if you are looking for a spacious room with a view of the lake, plus it has a private terrace area featuring a bistro table and chairs, parasol and jacuzzi bath (under its own shelter). Good breakfast (added option) and we dined at the hotel's restaurant for the 50th birthday dinner and it was lovely. Menu selection is influenced by the lake, so lots of fish / sea food. Staff were friendly and very helpful. They even brought out a surprise breakfast muffin with candle on the morning of my wife's birthday – very thoughtful and a lovely touch. The hotel is clean with very good facilities and located conveniently at the edge of Argegno, only a short stroll from the centre of the village and next to the ferry station. Note, the proximity to the ferry station was not a problem with crowds or noise – it's not as busy as locations such as Bellagio or Varenna, for example, and it's exactly why we picked the location. It is, however, worth knowing that the ferry service is limited in comparison to the popular triangluar route between Bellagio, Menaggio and Varenna, so if you are keen to visit those locations, plan this carefully. We visited Menaggio by bus because it is also on the west shore – a 30min ride with a frequent service. Overall, highly recommended for a special stay at a quieter location that offers plenty to see and do in the area.

We honestly can't think of anything. We feel lucky to have had such a fabulous stay for a special occasion.

This hotel is great if you want to be in lake como but away from the crowds.

The property is pretty secluded so transportation can be quite difficult. This hotel is excellent for a 2 day getaway though

We loved our room with patio and terrace plus jacuzzi bath outside- just for us !! It felt very special. Central to cafes busses and boats and staff were very accommodating. Dinners delicious!

Breakfast can be better had in a cafe across the road. Beach not on lakeside and difficult to get to swim in the lake. Best to go to the small rocky beach near the port.

It was a perfect location with a perfect view! Even though we were unlucky with weather - it was still a dream to wake up with a view of lake Como straight from our window. Parking, bus stop 2 minutes from the hotel, restaurants nearby - very convenient location if you travel by car

This place has great history - so it was a little bit outdated, but still very comfortable and cute :)
