de warme ontvangst, de heerlijke ontbijtjes van Macy, het gezellige terras in de tuin en vooral ook de 2 dagen dat we met Daud op pad waren. Hij spreekt heel goed engels ( en wij geen indonesisch) en vertelde uitgebreid en met trots over de Toraya mensen, cultuur, geloof. We bezochten een giga begrafenis en wandelden met hem door de rijstvelden. zonder Daud hadden we dit nooit gevonden en kunnen doen....thanks again!

het was fijn geweest als er n warm water plek was om bv thee te zetten. kamer en badkamer basic, prima voor ons maar als je n luxe kamer wilt moet je ff verder zoeken

Struttura pulita ed accogliente, colazione buona. Abbiamo noleggiato il motorino per gli spostamenti su Tana Toraja. Vicinissimo alla strada principale dove si trova praticamente tutto.

Unica grande pecca è la mancanza di acqua in doccia. Eravamo al primo piano e la pressione è pressoché nulla. Fare la doccia è quasi impossibile 😩 spero riescano a sistemare la situazione.

I had a truly wonderful stay at Riana’s Homestay in Rantepao. The hosts are exceptionally kind, warm, and helpful — from the very first moment they made me feel like part of their family. They were always ready to share advice about local places, Toraja culture, and things to see around the area, which made my visit even more special. The homestay itself is very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. My room was cozy and quiet, perfect for resting after exploring the surroundings. The location is excellent — just a short walk from the city center, local markets, and restaurants, yet peaceful enough to relax. I really appreciated the genuine hospitality and positive atmosphere. It’s one of those places where you feel more like a guest than just a traveler passing by. I would definitely recommend Riana’s Homestay to anyone visiting Rantepao — it’s a perfect base to experience the real Toraja spirit!

Daud and his family are very kind people. I had such a nice stay there. The room is huge and very comfortable. Daud can also guide you at ceremonies for a good price! He will explain everything you need to know in good English. I highly recommend this place.

Very very noisy on the morning, usually I am not affected so much by the noise but here it's on another level haha. But it is part of the place, you have a lot of animals everywhere, especially pigs for ceremonies, plus the mosk... hard to sleep long but i enjoyed my stay anyway!
