Isara Lanta Beach Resort

Perfect location, restaurant the best I have tried in Thailand. They take every effort to make you as welcome as possible. The different choices (European and u believable Thai) are amazing.

The cats that live here are very friendly and nice. The garden and hammocks are good. The proximity to the beach and to amenities like 711 is convenient.

Bed frame was very creaky and not comfortable to sleep in. There was a kettle in the room but cable was too short to plug into any of the sockets, had to balance the kettle on top of the rubbish bin for it to boil which was gross. Our room had no cups or spoons and when we asked for some the staff were very rude to us, it made me scared to ask for anything else. Shower pressure was very low. Very unpleasant check out experience with the owner and staff - they are disorganised and then blame you for their mistakes and errors. Thai food from the restaurant is very bland, even if you ask for it to be spicy - maybe because it is a German place catering to Europeans who like their food bland, but if you ask for it to be spicy then they should listen.

Great location, with lovely relaxed atmosphere. Robert the owner was really helpful with planning boat trips, bike hire etc.

Further up from the hotel beach was nice, I only had breakfast once at the hotel, nothing special, and one evening meal. For the price okay.

Kettle in room, but socket too high to plug in, no cups in room, apparently only for superior rooms , place was not for me won't be going again

Quiet, lovely food, friendly staff, great location.

The location is right at the beach which is very long and has a lot of bars and pubs. The room was very basic and could use some upgrade, but had everything we needed. The owner is helpful with booking anything that you'd like.

For some this could be super nice but we didn't know that we booked a stay with a German owner and felt a bit like we were back in Germany. You can get German food and drinks. We would have liked to have more Thai experience. We didn't get any free water upon arrival (which we got with every stay that we had in Thailand over one month) or welcoming drink while we had a very long trip and our pickup (booked by the hotel) didn't show up. This made us feel a bit less welcome and could have made the experience better.

Nice, spacious bungalow with a lot of storage space. Really good shower (hot and good water pressure). Located directly at the beach. Room service every day. Friendly staff. Nice bar.

There are a lot of rocks in the water so you can’t swim at low tide.
