The Stroud Hotel

Excellent location, right next to the railway station. Very friendly staff.

Great location in centre of town and next to train station yet very quiet. Attractive, clean, comfortable rooms, very comfortable bed. Great to have a coffee machine in the room.

The bathroom mirror is placed far too high. I am a 5 ft 4 woman and could only see the top half of my eyes and above! Also, having to go and find a staff member for check-in and check-out was a bit of a pain - a bell system would be better. Finally, I don't appreciate the guest Wifi being Captive Wifi which demands your data (email address and date of birth) to register to use it. All other hotels I have stayed in just provide a password for Guest Wifi.

Staff were very accommodating - letting us park in the carpark even though all the designated spaces had been taken. Giving us flat white coffees after we said that we had difficulty working the machine in our room. Very good location - right by the station in the middle of the town.

We were a little disappointed with the town - not so nice as other places we visited in the Cotswolds. Restaurant where we ate in the town was overpriced.

The beds are extremely comfortable, lovely spacious rooms. The staff are all very helpful and drinks are reasonable prices.

Good room overall. Hotel has pleasant decor.

No cooked breakfast as the chef wasn't present.

Location was right next to the train station, so excellent if arriving by train. Big bedroom and large king size bed.

I know it was out of the hotels control, but the recycling lorry was taking away empty glass at around 6am, so our sleep was disturbed.
