Amazing apartment by Opera house

Let me down. Took the money. No show on meeting.

Nothing - we couldn't find it.

It would have been good if property had answered one of my five e-mails - all through booking.com - or two phone calls requesting location and check-in procedures. They didn't answer any. We arrived in Oslo in the rain and walked up and down for half an hour looking and waiting for an e-mail. In the end we gave up and tried City Box. They responded withing five minutes with a welcoming e-mail and text. See my review on City Box if you want.

Scam scam scam. The property doesn’t exist. Its a scam😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Dont book this property!!!! It doesn’t exist. You will be victim of fraud. We arrived in Oslo with 2 young children and tried to make contact with the owner. He didn’t reply or answered our call . We walked up and down the street address , until we asked in the corner shop about this location. Only to be told we been fouled !!! It don’t exist.. the shop keeper told us its was so many people falling for the same trick. We tried calling booking . Com and they couldn’t assist us either . In the end we ended up paying for another hotel for the night . After many days og calling customer service to get our money back , someone called today !! 6 days later . After going true the refund process for our £160 we discovered the person pretending to be from booking.com tried to take out £790 from our account. We called bank straight away to put stop on account and cancel our card . Santander confirmed this was in fact another scam / fraud . We not sure if the two are linked , just be careful and stay away from this property. We are indeed shocked they still advertise this on their website.

Nothing, a very bad experience

We arrived to stay at Amazing Opera House on 12 September 2024. We had been given no instructions how to find the apartment or how to get in, so I gave them a call. We were told immediately that they had an upgrade for us. We were not keen on the location of the upgrade as it was approx. 2 kms away (a 24 minute walk, or a 14 minute tram ride and then a walk) so we requested to stay at the location of our original booking in the city centre which we had paid for. We were then told the original booking was not a two bedroom apartment, which was a booking.com mistake and we should contact booking.com! We asked if there was a couch to stay on for our son and there was no response. Also, another 5 of my phone calls were not answered or returned. As it was not possible to stay in our paid for apartment, we reluctantly agreed to stay in the alternative they offered instead. When we arrived there it was a building, covered in plastic and graffiti. Please see photos attached below. Obviously we could not stay there and they agreed via a text message to pay us a refund which we have not yet received which we are chasing up with booking.com. Do not stay here.

It is close to the train station.

No sheets on bed, host gave entrance info much later than expected, causing stress. Wifi didn't work but host was attentive and took care of that quickly. Location was difficult to find but key pick up was smooth as well as return. Hosts need to put themselves in the place of guest. We are in foreign place, all instructions should be clear. Poor/no communication with details prior to arrival. Tv did not work. No wifi.

We had a hard time to find the location of the apartment specially during the rain and with so many luggage.In an earlier communication I asked them if the apartment is in the same building as Nils bar and cafe and if there is a concierge service., and they said yes. So confidently I reached at the Nils bar and cafe and I couldn't find the apartment. They had not communicated with me anything until then. It was a very bad experience, it was raining and I had to run around with many bags in the rain to find out the place to collect the key and to find the apartment.

Location was close to harbour, opera house and central station area.

It was confusing to check in and the apartment was tiny and lacked the basics e.g bowls, good size water glasses and washing up liquid. The dryer was broken.

The location is ok.

so bad experience. Many facilities were broken, including the bed frame, dryer, and mattress, and the owner of the apartment did not clean the apartment completely. There was even a lot of dirty clutter and shoes piled in the cupboards. This was a terrible stay.
