The view

It was huge and we loved the pool table in the living room.

Bedroom 3 had no air conditioning so we moved the boys to the living room.

This was a great place to stay. The view was gorgeous, the apartment is up to date and comfortable. I appreciated the air conditioning in two of the three bedrooms.

We wish the third bedroom had ac. Also, you must be in shape to stay at this location. There are 45 stairs from the street and it is a very high hill to even get to the stairs. It was well worth it, but still pretty intense.

The View Apartment has an great location, just a short walk from La Spezia Centrale train station, making it a perfect base for exploring Cinque Terre and nearby areas. The apartment is very spacious, comfortably fitting our group of four adults and two kids (5-year-old and 2-year-old), ideal for families needing room to spread out after sightseeing.

The apartment is on a hill, requiring a daily climb that’s tough with young kids. There’s no storage—lacking dressers or wardrobes—so we lived out of suitcases. The very large bathroom has only one towel hanger, and the shower’s base design with a slow drain spills tons of water onto the floor, needing cleanup after every use. The billiard table in the living room is broken and takes up space; few armchairs and side tables instead would make evenings more relaxing. Additionally, there’s no washer, which wasn’t listed in the property description (my oversight), but would have been incredibly useful for frequent laundry with kids. Overall, a decent stay with potential, but these issues make me hesitant to return without improvements.

Very comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen. Pool table and other games - great for children. Fantastic host - very helpful with proactive communication.

Bit cold in late december - you have to use air conditioning for heating that is not available in every room e.g. bathroom.

Access to the property is hard.

The view was fantastic! The train station was an 8 minute walk. The apartment is well equipped, the air conditioning was very good in the heat. The pool table was great to play with our kids in the evenings. The host was always online, quickly helped to solve problems and answer questions. The apartment and the neighborhood are quiet, we were able to rest well. There is a great coffee maker.

The house is located in a steep cul-de-sac (blind alley). It's hard to drive in with a big car. There are indeed a lot of steep steps leading up to the house, but for those who walk along the Cinque Terre hiking trails, it is not difficult. :) Parking is difficult in the city. It is possible to park for free about 20 minutes walk from the house, at Piazza d'Armi, but unfortunately there was a soccer match when we arrived, so we could only park in the underground garage of the train station. Here we paid 180 euros for 5 days of parking. If someone doesn't use the car during the holiday, don't park in the underground garage. Very expensive!

The view from the balcony was amazing (including swings). The kitchen was fully equiped including a good coffee machine. The Wifi was very good. The air conditioning was working very well. The pool table was a bonus.

The appartment is located at the top of a hill which was not easy to climb. The small bedroom (2 single beds) didn't have air conditioning. The shower drained poorly.

The property is well maintained, with updated amenities, it has a play room with pool table and table games plenty of seating and wrap around balcony.

As the host Nabil stated if you want the view you need to climb the stairs. It’s a long up hill climb to reach the property then over 45 steep stairs to get to the gate with more stairs to get into the unit. Us out of shape Americans are not used to this much effort to get into a rented room. I have issues with my back and the long climb and stairs didn’t do well for me personally…there where 5 adults and I minor. All very happy with the set up in the unit but very disappointed with the extremely difficult hill and stairs. Especially if you are traveling and need to carry bags and luggage.

Large hill to walk up, worse than you think. Let us check in early but that came at the expense of clean dishes. Air conditioner shut off automatically between 3am and 8am, and the building got super hot, the ac was unable to be started back up. Slow draining drains in the shower.
