Theofania's House is a fantastic, beautifully maintained apartment, ideally located to visit the sites of Meteora.

great location and also a wonderful coffee shop/bar right beside the house. Host let us in early. Very well equipped, including washing machine. Lovely touch by host to leave fruit and water, thank you.

Needed a drying rack for clothes as things took a very long time to dry inside on hooks

Fantastic location in town. Had everything we needed and plenty of space. Very clean and washer was a plus. The host was very nice and responsive. Very easy contactless check in/check out too.

Excellent location - very clean, comfortable and attractive accommodations. The property right in the center of Kastraki, near very good restaurants and a small, well-stocked grocery. We were happy we chose to stay in smaller Kastraki rather than larger Kalabaka. It's a quiet and charming small town, and Kalabaka is only a few minutes away by car if you need it. It's very well situated to tour all the monasteries and the surrounding area. We were able see some monasteries in the morning and come back to the apartment for lunch or a rest, and head out on the loop again for sunset. Nice walks are available nearby, and great views are right out your front door. Parking was convenient - right out front. Having a washing machine is great, we were happy to get to use our travel clothesline. Our host Katerina was especially kind and helpful, including when we unexpectedly needed an extra night due to illness. She brought our daughter fresh and eggs and juice and was truly kind, we'll never forget it.

Excellent, spacious and very clean house. Location was fantastic, within the quiet town of Kastraki and a short walk to trails around Meteora. We took a photo tour with Christos Karagelis of Meteora Photo Tour, which was excellent and highly recommended. Also visited 5/6 outstanding monasteries (Great Meteoran was closed) - if you have time, go to all as each has its own points of interest. Barlaam was an excellent and has an extensive museum and otyher points of interest (eg 16th C Wine Barrel), but was definitely busier than some of the others. At Christos (Meteora Photo Tour) recommendation, we took a ~3hr ~9km walk past the Holy Monastery Ypapanti and Thymios Vlachavas statue and around through the valley below Great Meteoran and Barlaam to emerge at the Wooden Monk statue near St Nickolaos on the main Meteora Road. This would be hot in summer (take plenty of water, sunscreen, hat etc), but we had a perfect sunny day in winter. House was very comfortable and spacious, with excellent kitchen, bathroom and beds. Two bedrooms suited us well - one with a queen double and the other with two comfortable single beds. Overall an excellent stay

Theofania's Marble House welcomes the traveler with its elegance and coziness. It's located on a small hill, right near the rock formations, which is a great starting point for a visiting trip around the area. We loved the internal ambiance created by the wooden furniture (more classy than vintage) and we appreciated the huge space, the cleanliness (everything was spotless) and all the amenities making the stay as comfortable as possible. We found the beds excellent after a long day of visiting. The place is located in a quiet zone and there is free parking in front. For lunch we found a great tavern nearby, Tavern Gardenia, which we highly recommend because the food was delicious, well priced and the staff very friendly. We highly recommend booking a stay at Theofania's Marble House for a few days to allow ample time for visiting the Meteoras and the surroundings. Dare we say, the accommodation was as special as the area, for us, and we would love to return soon!
