Studio apartment at Solli

Tolle Lage und dank der Fotos mit den Zugangsdetails gut im Hinterhof zu finden. Sehr gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Gut ausgestattete Küche. Klein aber fein. Gut organisierte Wohnung mit allem was man braucht.

Fast alle Schubladen sind mit Klopapier und anderen Utensilien belegt. Dadurch ist kein Platz für die persönlichen Sachen im Schrank und Taschen, Koffer etc. müssen als Kleiderschrank herhalten. Das Hochbett ist für zwei Personen sehr schmal (1,20?) mit einer viel zu weichen Matratze. Ausweichmöglichkeit für zweite Person gibt es auf dem bequemen Sofa unten, jedoch muss man selbst Bettzeug mitbringen (hatten wir zum Glück).

In my opinion, this is a great place for one or two nights in Oslo at a reasonable price. We were always allowed to check out a bit later, which I appreciate.

The owner sends a list of rules and regulations on the day of check-in. I don't like this concept since the guest is put in the position of “you have to accept what I request“.

The apartment is a small, but cozy apartment, located very close to the city center and some of the main attractions of Oslo (National Theater, Royal Palace, Akerhus Fortress, etc.). The Opera building and the Munch museum are also close, at ~30 min walking distance. The apartment is ideal for solo travelers, eventually a couple. Good overall value for money ratio.

The entrance is not from the main street, as someone would expect based on the address, but from the back of the building. In general the backyard has a bit of a shady feeling at first sight, but I had no problems with safety overall. The apartment was in general clean, but some of the items would benefit from a replacement, like the shower curtain or the couch. Also, the lock on the door should be repaired because the screws are holding only the upper part of the door handle.

Close to the center of the city, clean, comfortable.

Windows and emergency door is windy.

The kitchen was fully equipped and well organised. The living room looked nice, and we were happy to be really close to the city center with the apartment

The dishes and pots were pretty dirty. The floor was clearly not vacuumed. The shower's curtain was full of mold. In the check-in form, they asked us if we wanted them to prepare the sofa bed for us, and we replied yes, but they didn't do it. There is a tiny window that has a grid and is impossible to close, so at night is kinda cold because the air enters from there, and it is impossible to block it. For the check-out, they asked us to put the towels and the linen in the washing machine, for whatever reason. Also, the main entrance and the stairs saw better days, let's say...
