Bobtail Cottage by Woodland Park

Hosts had contacted us ahead of time explaining that the cable for the television was out - which was fine for us. Appreciated being informed. Parking was directly outside - which was a bit tight for our large SUV but we managed. The cottage faces onto a main road and we missed the turnoff a few times & there was some street traffic. The property was so well renovated - really comfortable & warm & nice touches. Carpeting throughout & not much of a front entranceway to take off our shoes - but we managed. Really clean too.

Simple, easy & convenience. The kitchen facility has a wide range of tools we need. Will book again.

Wifi needs some improvement.

The scenery in front of the house, its very pleasant and beautiful.

It is good if you could provide a dryer where its would be more convenience for family who stay for long period.

Great cottage!! Everything brand new and perfect. Clearly very well cared for.

Cottage is nice. Shower is lovely. Beds were comfortable. Nice coffee machine.

We had an extremely rude lady (From the agency who takes care of this cottage). Knock on the door. Not even a hello, just a "move your car!" because apparently The neighbour won't be happy about it". Only when we did park in the designated spot in front. People complained they couldn't get round the alley way to the back. So we moved the car back. I'm not sure what it had anything to do with her. IF the neighbour complained we would move it. They didn't complain. We asked for 5 mins extra as my child had a bad night. She made the obvious clear that we were to check out 15mins ago and didn't allow us to explain why we were still here. So we asked for 5 mins and left. Altogether we went 20mins over. I did hear my husband attempting to inform her why we were running late, but he gave up as her attitude wasn't worth the explanation. She couldn't care less. I won't be staying here again. The staff are rude and obnoxious. Very unwelcoming. Just won't waste my money on people like that. As there are plenty of other places.

We stayed for a few nights in the cottage to use it as a base to explore the Lakes. The cottage is spotless and feels new. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed, the bathroom was great with a lovely big shower. There are 2 bedrooms, 1 with a double and the other with comfy bunk beds. It is a short drive to Windermere and a good base to explore the area which is beautiful. We also had a lovely dinner at the Black Labrador in Underbarrow, 15 min drive away.
